The feathers reference in this song recalls for me a line from an Emily Dickinson poem, "Hope is a thing with feathers." The song's lyric "I keep on losing feathers" could be a way of saying she is losing hope.
AURORA's lyrics are so poetic that they belong in a book of poetry for people to read, edited down to poem form. (Removing the repeats that occurs in singing)
I feel so lucky to be watching this artist grow and mature virtually in real time. I wish I had known about her back in 2015, but fortunately we have her music and visuals preserved. It amazes me that she says she has her next album already planned out (she probably has it written and composed already). Great reaction, great analysis!
This girl is in a league of her own head and shoulders above anyone else as a singer songwriter she’s Different class and I’ve no hesitation of putting her in my top 3 as a live performer she is so special and her new album is already my album of the year.
