I have to say, I love watching sports management series where it's a struggle. It makes the decisions much more interesting, in my opinion. Saves where people instantly turn things around and become a contender are kind of boring. So please keep it up Bailey!
I'm pretty sure Blackburn's contract converted to a major league deal with a $1.9M salary by being on the MLB IL on opening day. You needed him to be on the AAA IL.
As a Yankees fan I’m still holding out hope that the AAAA legend Ron Marinaccio eventually makes his way onto the major league roster. The man has a career sub 3 ERA in the majors in over 100 innings yet is always the first to get demoted when the Yankees need to make some roster room.
I have to wonder, with all of the A's top prospects stalling out consistently (be it ratings or performance), if it's a coaching issue or if it's a scouting director issue. (Likely both.)
Did not start this series expecting a Jeff Rosenstock reference, but Bailey is based as always. Only thing to do now is have Spencer Strider back on the channel to spend 2 hours ranking Rosenstock's whole discography including all his bands
Are there any good articles or videos that explain all the aribiration rules and minor league contracts / 'buying out free agent years' I've always been interested in OOTP but I don't get that part of MLB
The short of it is until you've played 3 years in the MLB (with some exceptions) your team can renew your contract, between 3 and 6 years you get arbitration (so you can't change teams but the arbitration panel helps decide what fair pay for you is) and after 6 years you can be a free agent. So if you sign someone with 3 years of time to a 5 year contract you're "buying" 2 free agent years because he would have been eligible for free agency after 3 years of the contract.
I just started my first season today. It’s a little too much for me grasp. Would it be more beneficial for me to start as a minor league manager and work my way up to majors?
I feel like, at some point in this, you need to makeup some reason Oakland relents and a new stadium is built..... which is something you can do in OOTP, right? I don't know what kind of patience that would require 😂
hi bailey, i also went from ootp 21 to ootp25. a lots changed. YOU HAVE TO MAX OUT DEV BUDGET. Otherwise no one will develop. So you really dont have much money to play with but its essential n this years game. I notice you often have 10 - 20 mill and try to get cheap veterans, and u havea full 40 man. that just takes too much money, you need to dump everything jnto dev budget
many people are saying spreadsheet baseball videos with jeff rosenstock references will be the viral youtube trend of the summer.
Commenting on all previous episodes, I feel just 3 trades is too little to even be realistic. Feel free to go over
yeah way too little
5 should be better
I get wanting to limit yourself though. If I don’t I’ll make 50 trades a season.
But yes, 3 is on the low side.
Yeah at least 5 would be good
3 is realistic but atp it might have to be upped for contents sake
John Fisher calling out his GM for alienating the fans is beautifully ironic
ootp getting it right that the mariners LOVE to trade tenured, quality relief pitchers to the arizona diamondbacks for second basemen
Oakland is tough to turn around. There’s no money ever.

Is there an owner assassination option? Real life question
I had a white sox rebuild where the owner died like 1 year in 💀💀

Main channel getting steady content, love to see it
Definitely a fictional universe with my Twins spending money on pitching lol

every time i hear shea langeliers my heart burns to hear also blaze alexander
You're my go to guy for fantasy draft prep. Thank you for Shea Langeliers.
THE PEOPLE WANT 10 SEASONS
The people want 20
Honestly, 10 feels like the absolute minimum. At FB's planned 5, we're probably barely (if at all) seeing any player draft picks touch an MLB field.
I love this series. So glad it's on the main channel
4:19 that Armenta guy is a knuckleballer with potential for nasty stuff that'll be interesting to see how he turns out

1:55 bello for peraza trade is the grossest thing in this sim so far
The Brewers signed Alcantara and Luzardo… AND TRADED FOR DURAN??? Holy shit
It officially took 11 episodes (of the new series) for me to go drop 50 bucks on the game. They owe Bailey a cut.
First MGMT and now Jeff Rosenstock⁉️ I like your music taste Mr. Foolish
Didn't realize you were a Jeff Rosenstock fan Bailey

hey bailey! love the series, I was wondering what trade difficulty do you use for your saves?

🚨JUNE 21ST🚨
Do you think MLB GMs play OOTP to try and get ideas for how the league will develop in the future? Seems like that'd make sense.
I’d be concerned if MLB GMs commit serious time out of their busy schedules to play this
I’ve heard it was quite popular over the pandemic. I know Rocco Baldelli or someone in the Twins organization mentioned how realistic it was
As a Pirates fan, I sometimes feel like this game's AI could do a better job than our GM.
Maybe not GMs but I bet there's plenty of lower level employees and interns who grew up playing OOTP in MLB rn.
justice for ron

Anyone else think he should turn down the injuries a bit? I feel like it’s not very realistic.
also please use 20 - 80 instead of stars, more realistic and its better
