It makes sense for this ship to work. Adam want's total control but Lilith wasn't having it and he can't trust Eve. Now he is with an angel who can't afford to make mistakes and does whatever he says with no question. If he fucks this up then there is literally no denying that he was ALWAYS the problem.

He’s a combination of Blitzo, Mammon and a hint of Val.
That moment when Adam and Lute are literally healthier then Fizzaroli’s and Mammon’s, Blitz and Stolas’s AND Angel Dust’s and Valentino’s relationships. She actively seems to thrive in his presence. He acts sexist towards her and she doesn’t blink but also puts him in his place if she has to and he accepts it? This is some really good cooking character wise. Feels like even if you don’t read this duo as romantic there is for sure alot of chemistry here.
I personally take Adam to be a show off, like 90 percent of the shit he says really shouldn’t be taken seriously and Lute knows it. And with given current events the fact he just smiles at her in the finale? Fuck thats a really fast tender moment.

She's well put together enough not to get bent out of shape over some words.
At the end of the day they've still got each other's backs.

But I can also just see her being super upset in part because there was some big plan involving Lilith that Adam's death royally fucked up. Which is why she immediately went to Lilith to get her ass moving. Him smiling like that though, I can agree that for now it seems to only mean one or two things, all of them kinda cute, kinda tragic.

You can tell from all their interactions that they are/were the best of mates. Even when Adam royally F**ked up by revealing the extermination she just had a big smile on her face and didn't give a damn about it. Then they proceeded to rock out together.
@@TheScarletSlayer Did you see how invested Lute was in making hell suffer? She was psychotic about it. Even Adam was taken aback at one point. Of course she'd cry over a big plan possibly furthering that suffering having a major setback.
I think for a show like this it would make sense for the show runners to frame the scene as one thing when it's really something else. I just don't know which interpretation is the red herring.

The sin of sloth is actually not just about being lazy. It´s more like lacking the energy/motivation to do anything, whatever that is working, cleaning, cooking, taking a shower, etc. It´s basically how people in the past explained crippeling depression before psychology was a thing. It was the devils (Belthegor´s) fault, if someone lacked the will to live but end up slowely withering away instead of just deleting themselves, because they lacked the energy to even do that.
