By OOC do you mean out of control? In my opinion the translation was smooth and his behaviour was very much part of his character. He is emotional, impulsive, and in denial about how his illness affects him.

Being this delusional as well as this rude is completely in character for him and has been seen in other parts of the game. Reminder that this isn't from Souji's route, so his relationship with Chizuru is different.
Souji was way too out of character here. He’d *never* lash out at her like that. No matter how mad or upset he was. Then again, Chizuru would never be that pushy, regardless how worried she was about him. That’s not to say it’s a fault of your translation, it’s the fault of the writers.
