the humans were the most annoying af in this monster movies. holllywood keeps botching shit up by doing this turkey movie methods. why get humans involved in the first place? i mean its simple logic, u see a building on fire and is coming crashing down what would u do ? hollywood mentality, run straight towards the fire stand right in the middle and stare at it like a dumbass with mouth open. in reality people be running and hiding in caves, subways or up the hills and mountains and stay the fucking clear from the fire.

What I loved about these encounters is that, they didn't really make Ghidorah a chump. I was entirely okay with Ghidorah getting owned by Nuclear Godzilla because really, how are you going to stop that? But all of the fight scenes here, was evenly matched, entertaining to watch and pretty well done.

also idk why everyone complains about how dark it is, not only could I see just fine (although that may have been cause I was in a dark room when I watched it) but the creatures just look bigger and more ominous in the dark, it makes the fight scenes so much cooler imo
Yeah, I absolutely love how the roars of this specific Ghidorah incarnation sound: beautiful, animalistic, yet alien, terrible, and a song of madness, triumph, rage and hate. :)
Also, I agree with you about the dark visuals - the 2014 film maybe took them slightly too far at times, but in KotM I could see everything just fine. :)

In that fight we clearly saw that Ghidorah gets destroyed in hand to hand combat and just resorts to spamming his beams which still do nothing to Godzilla, it hurt a bit sure but no actual damage. That's when Ghidorah retreated from the fight like a coward.

@@GrandTerr I also mentioned strength. Kong will have a strength avantage (Godzilla has little reptilian arms). Additionally, Kong is not a regular gorilla - He can stand on two legs, jump really high, and swing weapons
Also, if you follow any sort of combat sports, you will see that when size is similar, speed usually dictates the victor, not mass

It broke my heart to see Godzilla dropped to the Earth and nearly die. He's clearly King of the Monsters and would've defeated Ghidorah had they not "recharged". Godzilla was stronger and he's FEARLESS. Well, two can play that game! Loved it when he returned to defeat Ghidorah after Dr. Serizawa's incredible sacrifice. GAME ON.

I will admit that some are good. Most are mediocre. The choreography of several fights is nonsensical. Sound and visual effects are good, but it's all style and no substance. 2 bricks smashing into each other at full power until one of them dies. Godzilla at seemingly full power until his near death, then at his new full power when he gets all toasty. No wounds though. No firey blood spitting from the massive teeth marks that should be present all over his body. Ghidorah gets webbed to a building. It's unable to just break the glass and move out of the way apparently despite being strong enough to lift Godzilla apparently out of the atmosphere (or why would he start literally burning up. That was really stupid). Feel free to love this movie dude, but don't think it's deep or meaningful, or even coherent. It's a disjointed mess of pretty colors, and sure you can like it. Just don't pretend there's no issues. Be critical because by telling the writers and directors what they can do better will lead to better movies. Like hell, one of the heads was munched pretty comprehensively by Godzilla at the beginning of the fight. If you didn't see it happen, would you have even known it did?

There's a guy who made a joke little cartoon series about starcraft that had a more comprehensive plot, more intimidating monster fights, and more compelling characters, and with a few exceptions, the only audio he used was from Starcraft 2 game files.
Are you joking? This movie has some of the worst fights I have seen in a monster movie. They cut away every 3 seconds,bad Weather, laughable CGI for a film that cost 170 million dollars to make and terrible fight choreography. Also Ghidorah was a pretty bad antagonist considering he kept getting destroyed by Godzilla and either retreated or had to get a power up to even stand a chance. This film is just defended by children that are fanboys

One thing I'll give the modern Godzilla cred for is the way his back spikes light up slowly, kind of with a crescendo until they are all lit and Godzilla breathes his fire. I like the dramatic way they do it now, unlike the older movies where the spikes just kind of flicker.
But although I say this, I think this effect could still be improved further. I'm a fan of the G man and I barely noticed this stuff. I think part of the reason is that I'm always distracted by the usual terrible writing of the movies. Perhaps if one day someone writes a G man movie that is more than just dumb fun, they'll pair this dramatic crescendo with a sudden comeback by Godzilla that isn't obvious...or something along these lines. Such an effect could really be emotionally exciting for the audience if done better.
When King Ghidora took Godzilla into the sky to drop him it reminded me of when Godzilla tried to drown Kong.

Godzilla eating up Ghidorah's head and then vaping it off is one of the most badass alpha move ever.
