  • Turtle strategies typically involve the massing of armies and/or economies behind fortifications. "Turtling" is the most common counter to rushes. Knuschelbär decides to go for it. Enjoy!

    The sheer amount of balls needed to continue being greedy with a massive enemy army right at your doorstep, and still winning. Holy shit.

    I love it when high level players attempt to use Native Alliances. I understand that more straightforward strategies are often more effective, but it's a shame those units/techs rarely see play, especially when the compliment for weaknesses in a civ's tech tree.

    I know Knuschelbar is a top player. but with respect, he spent little efforts in protecting his heavy cannons. There are a few occasions when he could pop big mm to trap the opponents but he didnt do that. In particularly, in the fight @19:26, he should have pop the big mm to protect his heavy cannons

    Why didn't the other guy go for trade monopoly when he contained the Portuguese player that much

    • @aquilleswinkler5051
      @aquilleswinkler5051 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Firstly, he needs to get to age 4, and was being an idiot staying in age 3.
      next, with those trade sites so near the walls of his base, its just an instant destroy everytime, and if Red brings the fight to his walls he loses every time cuz his only counter (Cav) cannot magically pass through walls to get to the cannons in time before getting rekt. That's why its so awful to play native civs who have no culverins or tricky counter cards like Inca vs euro cannons. The Iro light cannon basically saves that civ from the typical euro stuff.
      And as he said at the end (Such a waste of time) it would just be a cycle of start monopoly, destroy, etc.

      they still wont let units through but cost 5 wood less per deleted wall corner

      I can let you know, if you are still interested.
      These junctions connect walls together (in theory). When you start sieging walls you could send one unit to attack adjacent wall sections and the damage will spread to the walls you are attacking at this given point. People delete these junctions as to ensure that the damage spread does not take place :)

      Because in German he said: what a waste of time. And eventually blue would overboom him, since Portuguese eco in late game is top tier. Along with French, German, Swedish and British (and maybe Dutch) ones.
