That was some impressive defense. Love to see a civilization besides the British be played like that. I had to fight against a British Turtle and I lost because their defense was just so good. They had like 7 towers up, constantly walling, and longbows. No matter how many troops I made, it was just impossible to challenge. Awsome content!
@@ichbineinschlauch4989 Yeah, perhaps that would've been a better strategy. I really am a noob right now since I just started playing so I guess I didn't think of that as a strategy at the time. I did have good control of the map though and was able to produce a large army but it was just impossible to fight against all that defense plus tons of longbowmen. Pretty annoying fighting against civs with a much longer range than you
@@colechapman6976 well longbows are hard countered by cav. And the are good in defensive positions. So the solution is to boom meanwhile containing him. Later you can break his small base with artillery
@@colechapman6976 make him pay for putting down So many expensive towers... towers cant move out of base to attack you. With every tower his economy is a bit more behind

The thing i like about Portugal is having a town center everytime you age up, i may not seem like much, but 2 tcs at comercial age is pretty good.

Then you should just contain him. Take the Man control all hunts and all mines = you will be ahead in economy
