    Eu não falo português e isso é baseado no "google tradutor":
    Neste vídeo, vou mostrar a vocês como faço para redesenhar meus Catasetums. O tempo é tudo e o replantio é melhor feito quando você notar um novo broto / bulbo crescendo, antes de começar a fazer raízes. Você também pode replantar logo no início da dormência, mas então você não sabe onde o novo crescimento aparecerá e você pode não posicionar bem a planta para o crescimento do ano novo. Repotting um Catasetum é como um massacre de serra elétrica, pois você pode se livrar da maioria das raízes velhas que estão quase todas mortas. Você mantém uma quantidade suficiente de raízes para estabilizar a planta depois de replantada. A planta sobrevive à dormência pela água armazenada nas lâmpadas traseiras.

      Thanks a lot! Happy to be able to help. As to Bulbophyllum, unfortunately I do not grow them (I only got Bulb. grandiflorum recently but have no experience with them).

    Thanks for sharing!Please tell me how to fertilize catasetum,thank you very much!

    • @orchidhouse
      @orchidhouse  ปีที่แล้ว

      No fertilizer when dormant or when growth is small and no watering. After that plenty of fertilizing during the growing season. Reduce drastically fertilizer when leaves turn yellow.

      Ctsm. Penang (Ctsm. Susan Fuchs 'Burgundy Chips' x Ctsm. pileatum ). There are MANY variations of Penang though! Check the flower before buying one.

    Hello! Could you tell me how much watering the growing Onésimo necedad? Thank you

    • @orchidhouse
      @orchidhouse  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They should be kept moist the entire growing season and fertilized regularly. Once the leaves turn yellow, you can reduce watering in half and then stop when the leaves are all gone

    Do you need to repot every year?

    • @orchidhouse
      @orchidhouse  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is indeed better. I tried not repotting several catasetums 2 years ago and I was not happy with the result. Fred Clarke says he only postpones repotting if he wants to try and get an award on a plant but else he repots them every year

    How do you manage rotts in cycnodes? I have a jumbo mickey and it started rotten in the middle _ (🤦🏽‍♀️)dnt wanna lose it!

    • @orchidhouse
      @orchidhouse  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would cut off the top of the bulb BELOW the rot, spray peroxide on the wound and then sprinkle cinnamon powder on top of it. I have saved a few like that in the past. Hold off on watering too for a little while. Good luck!
