I have a 1999 R 1200C. I love it. I did push the handlebars as you talked about. My 1200C was my uncle's brand new then he passed it to me after he had it for 20 years. Its a very cool bike with a lot of personalty. I also have a 2021 BMW R ninet but I always go back to the 1200C when I ride.
LOL - thankfully I am 5'9" with short legs - the low seat and closer pegs and bars work great for me. Love my '01 R1200C for just that reason - above and beyond the cruiser look/feel but at least some of the BMW precise driving performance.
@@RideToTheSun1 That's too bad. At least I have a picture now. I ordered a set of handlebar covers that work but are a pain to put on and take off. I hope to use that picture to ask around. Thanks!
Hi great material very nice ride ;)
Thanks for the visit
👍
Appreciate the support

I was thinking the same thing. I would keep the 1200C if I was you; it’s a classic and a joy to ride. Ride safe; you have some nice rides.

Thanks for chiming in, definitely a plus for shorter riders. Great bike, a classic, take good care of it…
I have the R18B…All blacked out, try road testing that model. Love the comparison.🤛🏽
Appreciate you stopping by. I will definitely put the R18B on the list. The Black out look is awesome on the R18. Ride Safe...
I believe the R18 handles like a Harley while the R1200c is easier to drive. I couldn't part with mine, love it to this day.
I can absolutely understand that after riding the two back to back. The R1200 is the type of bike that only those that know; know…
What kind of hand guards are added to the bike? They're clear.
Yes I noticed they were clear and they looked pretty cool, but the salesman did not know the make at the time.

I got a 98 with 13,000 on it. I love it.
Nice; I actually enjoyed the ride way more than I thought I would. Stay safe this riding season; and thanks for stopping by…
