what is the point of this? It explains what can be done, but not how. It is an overwhelming amount of information for a beginner, and no specifics for the advanced modder.

Agreed! Then there's the whole German thing, trying to learn something while doing, I'm sorry but you can't watch and read sub titles at the same time while to work in Blender. Totally worthless to anyone speaking English. Its the problem with almost all there modding tutorials, they give the info, but never the "how to".

@@3verland I don't think this video is meant to be a tutorial at all (which of course makes the title of the video misleading). It seems more like a preview/update/showcase of the new features that will be available in the next Blender I3D Exporter update, which, according to the video, is set to be released in the "next months." If you watched to the end, Stefan mentions a "Blender Modding Book" that is expected to be released "towards the end of the year." According to the video this book is supposed to include more in-depth details about vehicle integrations. So I guess that book will be closer to what you and likely many others are looking for🙈
