  • Let’s explore the route of the old Eudunda to Robertstown railway line.
Opened in 1914, this line branched off the Gawler to Morgan line and ran 21 kilometres through Point Pass to Robertstown. Passenger trains ended in 1965 and the last train was in 1990.
Give me a thumbs up if you liked it and stick around because there's much more to come!

After watching this video few times(first commented 12 days ago); yesterday I visited all these places and took lots of photographs and videos.. The silo art, the church at Point Pass and many more are absolutely beautiful... But your drone shots are wonderful..and thank you very much again..

I'm so happy that you went to see the area, Honey Joseph! South Australia sometimes seems boring - but if you look, there's a quiet yet majestic beauty waiting to be discovered. If you do make a video of your trip, please share it with me!

@@Outdoorstype very true Mike like so many former towns and villages in South Australia that where only on the map because of their railway connection.

Hi these are great clips thanks & they have piqued my own interest in abandoned SAR places (my dad worked his entire life for SAR)
Im wondering if i, as youve done in Eudunda & Tarlee & other abandoned railway places, its ok for me to pull up & take a look around these railway yards etc? Thanks

Love your vids mate. But seeing what we've lost in terms of history and connection with our regional towns makes me just a bit sad.

I know how you feel and I just hope I can be of some help to connect with our towns in the digital age. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Hi this was great thanks
I live in Adelaide & these old railway stations have piqued my interest & curiosity. I'm thinking I'd like to go check them out myself (my father was a life long SAR worker)
Would I be ok just pulling up in the car & walking around the disused station yards - as you've done in eudunda & as seen in Tarlee

Thanks! I'm always careful of being seen to be on private property. I usually spend some time scoping out what is private and keep my distance if needed. That said, Eudunda is public property while I'm unsure of Tarlee so I kept respectful distance.

I'm happy to give you more tips if you do head out that way. Just let me know. 😊
It would have saved me a lot of time if somebody had pointed out the best way to approach some places I've been and had to work out myself what's public and what's not. And what's in between - or where the interesting people are.
For me, people have been 100% cool with what I do cos it's just common sense really.

Hello guys sorry been out of touch I'm in Gibraltar at the moment just some info may be of intetest to you
British Rail deficit is now subsidised to the tune of 1300 pounds for every man and woman in the UK
Needless to say this is why they are not giving into the strikes as the increases being demanded in wages would blow the Rail Deficit out even more. We still have no where near got back to the passenger levels prior to covid. This also is partly to blame for the blow out in revenue losses.
