Exactly. The great thing about that whole movement was the fact that every artist offered something a bit different whilst still sharing a dreamy feel to their music

Throwing back the apple to whom? There is a strange irony in the garden of eden mythos. One tree gives you eternal life, the other gives you knowledge. Knowledge leads to wisdom which leads to eventually understanding how to live eternally. And, if you live long enough, eternally, in a good way, not in a genie tricks you kind of way, then you will grow old enough to amass knowledge and wisdom. I don't thing Genesis is accurate, in its original form or current form. Something smells fishy about it.
Does knowledge always lead to wisdom? Rarely. Wisdom is discernment when you don't have all the facts. Many brilliant minds have chosen poorly. Only God knows all. We are all fallen creatures because of sin. Only the Christ who was nailed to a tree and died for all of us can redeem us. Only through the Son may we approach God the Father. Try as we may to throw back the apple to regain our innocence, none can be redeemed without Christ's redeeming blood.
so you do not think the bible can have massive errors? what saves us? are we saved because god said so, or because god was lso weak that only a magical blood sacrifice of a first born could save us, just like molech sacrifices? maybe god was tricked into saying we were all cursed, then had to break it with a child sacrifice? or maybe, jesus came to call people to take a job ruling in the government of god that rules over the multitudes where many are called but few chosen to lead, and the occult child sacrificing evil people elite of the world corrupted the original gospel and made god a hypocrite and child sacrificer so that their children would be taught, as it actually is, that god is secretly like them, and thus excusing their evil and brainwashing their kids. its a good thing that the bible says it is perfect and god didn't have to inspire someone to warn people not to add to it or change it, oops, he did. odd that. i hope you see the truth and it sets you free, and helps you see that god is sane, jesus was and is sane, and the elite sacrifice children because they like to use it on their subordinates to keep fellow occult members from competing and having to share power. @@slackjaw4270
I mean that if we could throw back the apple and live in the Garden of Eden before the fall happened, then we would be transformed from our present condition of fear and suffering to a condition of bliss and innocence.
R.I.P. Graeme Naysmith 🕊 ️
Brilliant composer Graeme Naysmith was. Loved his guitar, may he rest in peace.
Pale Saints delivered us two exceptional albums. The comfort of madness and In Ribbons

I can't beleive this album is 30 years old today. Still slaps and sounds fresh!
Yess! They were overshadowed by Ride and My Bloody Valentine. But Pale Saints were best shoe gazers!
@@edfromtheairship welllllll, they weren't better than Nowhere era RIDE, but they were very very good, and heinously underrated.
Love all the vintage shoegaze clips 4AD has been posting lately
Hope Pale Saints get a boxset like Lush did

But you're close enough
To step outside again"
30 years ago! You know music is great when it can be around that long and still sound fresh.
Brilliant how the deep snare and deep crash cymbals, grinding guitars are overthrown by Ian's angelic voice. 30 years ago and still sounds epic.
Just discovered them….that voice is utterly beautiful!
A classic, sounding as fresh as when it first came out. And who else could get away with such a brilliant chorus in 10/4 meter!
Terribly underrated band. The best of the 'shoe gazers' from that period. Sidelined by the pretty boys of Ride and the pretty girls of Lush.
RIP 😢
Literally just discovered this band what an incredible song I can't believe this is 30 years old did these guys create shoegaze sounds like it to me
Love the effortless 5/4 time during the intro

Finally! It seems 4AD will post all Pale Saints videos. Great!
This is the one and only Rock and roll band of the nineties. Now change my mind.
Still sounds great.
still?the shit is timeless

IN RIBBONS Is one of the top 5 LP's of the early 90's with :
-chapterhouse
- My bloody Valentine
- Lush
- Stone Roses
don't forget Boo Radleys first LP! it's so good too
Catherine Wheel's Chrome.
Just for a Day?
Stone Roses was 1989. :-P
Add to that list His Name is Alive _Livonia,_ 1990

The Pale Saints definitely acquired a sound similar to Lush when Meriel Barham joined the band.

Not so much now.
