Super weird thing to mention, but I like when normal settings (like a bar) is given a strange genre twist. Its like the anime Death Parade which takes place in a Limbo-type world between life and death, but its manifested as a bar/games room. I really liked this animation! The design of the bartender is interesting and simple, simple in this case meaning that its not over-designed but its unique, making it instantly memorable
This film is beautiful!!!! just wish there was more sound editing, i felt like the antagonists movements werent as intense and loud as they couldve been, and even some grunting and huffs wouldve helped really sold it! Other than that im thoroughly impressed!! Great job
"Hold it beneath your nostrils for a moment, Gentledevils. Hold it up to the light. Look at those fiery streaks that writhe and tangle in its dark heart as if they were contending. And so they are. You know how this wine is blended?..."
hi there, I'm currently an animation student trying to create a direction for my film and I must say.... wow. Not only is your film's style visually stunning but also extremely impressive with the flatter 2D elements on a 3D medium. Do you have any tips for moving in a similar direction? I'm also very curious on how you simulated the water!! Was that all 2D?
Hello, thanks for liking my film! My suggestion is to plan your workflow thoroughly before the production. You can create one shot from beginning to end. (Like do it from storyboard to compositing. You can verify your workflow by doing this. To make the 2d animation match the 3d scene, you can render the 3d animation in layers. It's like the 2d animation concept, you have overlay and underlay. I rendered the 3d scene first, and put it in AE to make it look like is animated on twos. Then, draw the 2d on top of the 3d animation. The drops and bubbles are 2d animations. The liquid in cups is made in 3d.
I feel like the bartender was voiced by Ellen McLain. Shit, at some points the intonation is just like GLaDOS. Here are the tamikodes: 0:110:150:30 and others.
Hey, just wanted to clarify... this is a student film, right? For Sheridan's animation program? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that mean all the animation and art design was done by you? I feel like most of the people in the comments think this is a short made by a team of professionals. If it really is just you (apart from things like some sound work) then I think it would help to clarify. Also just wanted to say the whole thing is really slick, I love the bartender design.
Thank you very much!! Yes, this is the 4th-year thesis film I made in Sheridan! Everyone needs to make their thesis film on their own to graduate, so I did do everything by myself instead of the music:D. Thanks for the clarification and I'm glad that you like it!
Hi! For 2d animation: Toon Boom Harmony. For 3d rendering: Maya. (There are people who choose to use the render farm outside the school, this depends on you:) )
The animation and the colours are really great but the voice acting is pretty flat, I can't make out what the bar lady's character is supposed to be with the voice alone.

It's a perfect understanding of animation and cuts. I'm jealous of you.
Thank you very much! ❤
Well done. Do NOT anger the Bartender... You never know if they may be scarier than the Bouncer...
So she basically kills missbehaving people with a laser and then steals their soul
This is amazing ❤
really great film, I'm also trying to make a film and was curious about the process you used.
fantastic work!
Thank you!
I love it everything about it :) Good Job, hoping you do tutorial vlog of your animation. Thanks
Cool animation, I love the robot
Wow, this is super good. Imma subscribe
Thank you;)!
tell me, how does this have only 1k views, 9 comments, and 11 subscribers?
That's Amazing. Cheers 🍹

Love it! :)

You totally got my point! Actually, GLaDOS is my top reference when I try to imagine the bartender's voice:D!
I thought she was gonna actually fix him, not just punish him.
so good
what software do you use to meke this animation, it's really amazing with a good storyline.
Thank you! I used Toon Boom Harmony and Maya for this short film:)
If only we could do this to all the other rude, thoughtless, selfish conkwockets of the world.
kinda reminds me of spiderverse

Glados?!
Sehr cool gemacht. Ach, was wäre das schön, wenn man wirklich auf diese Weise das eine oder andere Arschloch aus dem Weg räumen könnte😈😅
The guy looks like Jhonny Bravo
Hello, I really liked the animation and I was wondering if you allow fandubs
I ask since I am interested in making a fan dub in Spanish
Thank you! I'm open to fan dub;)
@@phoebemao1627 Nice!! ❤️✨
which software you guys use in sheridan school to colorize the drawings? and to animate?

This looks and feels like ASMR. The animation is beautiful!
You seriously need to get a job somewhere.
Thank you! I was inspired by ASMR videos actually lol😄. I'm working in an animation studio now😉
How many people work on this film? Or you alone?
It's my personal thesis film, so I'm on my own😉
@@phoebemao1627 strong 💪

I think this could have benefited from not having any speaking.
The microphone could be better.
Is the robot bartender talking

Thanks for the feedback! will work on that next time:)
