How do you compare BenchmarkEmail with ActiveCampaign, both give you the option to "program" the email flow ? I don't know why email autoresponders are overpriced IMO. Mailchimp also doesnt' allow certain niches like Make Money Online....
I agree with most of that what you said, but how about the "technical side" like fast hosting, what do you recommend for the perfect WP Hosting + Page Builder + Shopping Cart (with one click upsells and so on...) ? Because fast loading Pages are soo important. Also clickfunnels said, they want to improve the backend sales system like email campaigns, also Facebook Messenger Bot and so on how do you integrate that into WP so that everything is communicating between each other? Because that is there selling point here ... Thank you great Video
Hey! Thanks for commenting. Some good questions there so I'll do my best to answer! Hosting: We use WPEngine or thisistap.com for our WP hosting. I completely agree with you that lightning fast hosting is important. Loads kill sales! Email campaigns, bots, FB messenger, optins etc. Those are all great, but add-on features are a dime a dozen. collect.chat, Intecomm, ActiveCampaign, MailChimp, ConvertFox, landbot.io. They all integrate beautifully AND if any of them fail or don't work, you can always move over to another. I agree that integration with ALL systems is a selling point. And it's also their biggest point of failure. I think CF have done a great job building all this stuff together. But it's not a scalable option if you're building funnels for customers. Or it is, if you can make it work, great! Thanks for the comment (:
Sell your service I agree. Bottom line is CF is great if you don’t have the technical know how to do it without CF. But better to do it on WP if you know how. But it is a big learning curve for people who aren’t skilled in wp
What are you using for upsells and downsells with Wordpress? Another thing I like is the two step form that clickfunnels, have you found a replacement tool?
I agree with you, regarding Clickfunnels. It's good, but not awesome. And, its overpriced for value you can get elsewhere, for a lot less. And, saying a funnel builder doesn't guarantee success, is 100% true. You can throw together a bunch of pages with crap on them and get no results. Surprise, surprise, lol.
anytime you throw together a bunch of pages with crap no matter if it's clickfunnels or wordpress, you won't see results so obviously the offer matters
I just started my consulting business through Sam Ovens Consulting Accelerator program. Im at the section where I am setting up my website in click funnels. His premade templates are for click funnels so I cant do it anywhere else. super confused now after hearing this vid or discouraged or maybe both as I am new at this.
Thanks for this video. Could you also compare and advise how you feel about Convertri 2019? With their current 2019 deal it is quite enticing. And Agency feature ensures we can manage keep our 25 customers separate. However, I do understand the point "not my turf" but won't that be an issue with the hosting that we use? What do you suggest for hosting?
I’ve been using beaver builder for almost 3 years now. Building my first funnel now. Was considering Beaver or Thrive since Thrive has so many tools already built in. But either way, I was going to use woocommerce with it all, but I don’t like woocommerce checkout page layouts. I found a plugin aero checkout that creates really nice checkout pages. You can even put the check out in the sales page like CF does. I will check out your beaver funnels also. But what do you recommend for checkout - woo or easy digital downloads?
Hey Robert, thanks for the comment. Digital Downloads is pretty good. I think it depends what you're selling. In my opinion, the BEST checkout plugin is Gravity Forms because it's so flexible. What are you selling?
Sell your service Currently I’m selling Facebook Messenger bot marketing services. And after that I have an online T-shirt store I’ll be promoting. I never thought about gravity forms for checkout. I have used that and Formidable Forms in other uses, but never checkout. Can you send me a link a Gravity Forms checkout in action?
So compelling, thank you for making this. Ultimately, for an experienced agency owner who understands the stack needed, it makes a lot of sense. But for someone just starting out who will have no clue how to build out and maintain such a stack, and isn't yet thinking about scalability, it makes more sense to go with an all-in-one solution until they learn the ropes and grow out of it.
Hey Jacob. Thanks for commenting! Totally agree that an all in one platform certainly seems easier. I know that I've seen a lot of people get locked into a platforms once they've grown. In my experience, funnel builders who are serious about building the best funnels they can for customers, will start with their own tech stack and learn from there. I kind of compare it to flash website builders in the 2010's when using a CMS seemed harder, but ultimately was a better decision.
Good Video, and one thing I was hoping you would say was the page load speed issue. The findings about how slow they load was crazy. I actually just did a video on my channel about this issue. I know this is an old video, so some of this is also out of date. Either way, still a good one!
I am curious what service or platform do you use to build your funnels? Do you have any video how to start an affiliate marketing career? What is a reliable source to find products to sell. I am newbie and idk where to start from. Also, what are your thoughts about Kartra? Thanks for the video.
Hi there! I noticed that you mentioned Thrive Themes; however, I didn't quite understand your objection. No funnel system will work without customers, right?
Hey there, thanks for the comment. I completely agree, no matter how sophisticated your system, no funnel products work if you don't have customers. I think my main problem with ClickFunnels is just that though, they say "you're just one funnel away from your dream business" and that's not true.
Thanks for sharing this! I'm starting my own agency and need to create Landing Pages, Order Pages and Thank You Pages for local businesses and my Clickfunnels trial is almost over. Out of Beaver Funnels and Mail Chimp, which would you suggest I use to build these pages? With my 1 account, I can create as many Landing Pages (etc), under my account for other businesses and tie them in with their website, or just run the links from my Beaver/Mailchimp account? My head is about to explode from so much learning and getting prepped for launching my website. Thanks in advance!!
Hey Nicol! Great question! I know there is a LOT of information out there! It can be overwhelming. My advice would be to pick a page builder that has unlimited licenses such as Beaver Builder and stick with that. I have a full course on building funnels that you can sell to customers here: sellyourservice.co.uk/beaver-builder-activecampaign-marketing-funnel-course/ It shows you how to create funnels, using Beaver Builder and ActiveCampaign. Are you in my Facebook group?
@@SellYourService Thanks so much!! I just found you on TH-cam today and so haven't seen your FB yet. I will definitely check it out! I'll take a look at your course now...Thanks again and for responding so quickly!
Great question. From what I understand it is unlimited domains but that's for a single TLD? So you can have lots of subdomains but only one top level domain.
If one is considering to start affiliate marketing suppose at clickbank he is inspired to buy an 'all in one' system (like Kartra) which allows him building pages, funnels, email system and payments, domain and hosting etc. To have his own similar system I an afraid he needs to spend a lot time to learn WordPress and perhaps to buy other systems to consolidate everything at one place and come up with his own blog or website live at internet. Kartra gives a roadmap and provide training videos and guide to achieve the objective. On the contrary would you please suggest a training stuff to be able to building your own own setup
Totally agree . After I set it up , I waited for 3 days and still pending to go live. No support available to answer my chat or email. It is not true that you can go live within a few hours. User beware!! I am looking for alternative funnel builder. No choice.
@@spicelee8199 Hey man, well if we're getting specific and technical, no, your target market is not your niche. Your niche is a combination of the problem you solve and the result you get, for a specific group of people with characteristics that other people don't want to serve. I've got a video on it here: th-cam.com/play/PLKOJPNnJ3uokS99AzG-M-yK0pyNZLY5dZ.html
Looks like comparing apples and oranges to me. BB just looks like yet another WP page builder (and there are plenty of those). It has now concept of flows, what if I want to build a sequence of squeeze page + bridge page + thank you page? Or add upsells, downsells etc? BB is fine for single pages but thats it. I would go CF + mailchimp if on a budget and personally doing stuff within WP is just madness unless you are hosting on a super secure high speed server
Hey Gary thanks for commenting! I agree, there are a lot of WordPress page builders. Having said that, Beaver Builder does have Beaver Funnels which has upsells, funnel creation, a content engine and a checkout with order bump. There's also Thrive which does a lot of the funnel building. I think overall, CF is fine if you're the business owner. But as funnel builders, we should be looking at more scalable options if we're building multiple funnels. Thanks for commenting!
I just had some problems with Clickfunnels and I lost clients 2 months until a client told me about the issue I had, my funnel was messed out without me doing nothing and without receiving a notice so yes I am really reconsidering now. Thanks again
What do you think about Kartra? I assume you have the same view if we're talking about the agency model as it's not scalable. Though, you could have the client purchase it directly themselves, and pay you to manage it so you're not covering the cost.
Hey Mike! I'm a big fan of your channel (: Yeah Kartra is great. I know some of the big guys use it and we use it with a couple of clients. It's a similar idea I suppose, if it's right for you then great. But as you mentioned, if you're looking to scale for clients then it might not be best. We have a few customers who buy their own tools that we then use, which also brings up the idea of specialising in a tool or not. Have you used Kartra?
SO on point!! I know Clickfunnels has its merits as does ThriveThemes but I think with all the features each of these funnel builders have people overlook the one simple fact that they do not own their content when they host on Simone else’s platform!! Glad you brought that point up.
Do you have the same opinion after 2 years ? I want to try Groovefunnels. I am just starting affiliate marketing. I would appreciate to give me your advise what tools to use . Thanks !
Yeah, if anything my opinion has become stronger on the same points. GF is fine, but you're better off building your own sites with something like WordPress and using a tool like ActiveCampaign IF you're building funnels for other people.
Sure are (: First, we have our full course and certification - sellyourservice.co.uk/beaver-builder-activecampaign-marketing-funnel-course/ But we also have our series on building funnels on TH-cam with Beaver Builder here: th-cam.com/play/PLKOJPNnJ3uok31BESqKimYjVd5KmkwYJu.html
I use CF and I came here to see if you had any legitimate complaints about their platform... I'm half way through the video and the only objection that seems logical is price... and although that might seem like a reasonable objection the problem is that CF isn't only selling a software... theres where you're misinformed... Clickfunnels is not only a software company it's a platform that delivers marketing business education... which is what they're REALLY selling... they are selling an OFFER not the product... he talks about it in his books... when you sell an offer (NOT a product) you can charge your own price and not have to compete with the market... 🤯 Russell Brunson practices what he teaches! 🙌🏼 You can't say that about most marketing "GURUS" these days...
It's a good question Andrew. We build Beaver Funnels with an integrated payment system. Also I believe Thrive Themes has a payment integration in it. To be honest, payment is the easiest part of the entire process. A plugin called Gravity Forms does everything and more that CF payments can do. PaidMembershipPro or DigitalDownloads can also handle complex payment systems as well as memberships and expiring payment types. What kinds of payments do you process?
I'm using Thrive Themes right now to put my site together. I can't make a basic free plus shipping funnel where I collect the mailing address on the first page, credit card on the second page with an add-on item, and a thank you page with an upsell. Likewise, things like Thrive Ultimatum end up being useless to me because they don't integrate with my store. Basically, I feel like I'll have to pay developers do anything I want and the costs for all the plugins start to add up (still not close to 297 per month, but more than 90). I've never used clickfunnels but it sounds like the integration is the real benefit behind it. I'll look into Gravity Forms though, thanks. I'm in the adult niche.
As a new person in e-com (one month in), I'm baffled with the attention and use of CF as it seems to be a series of web pages I used to see in most sites around 10 or more years ago. It appears to me that CF has amazing affiliate program and misleading marketing as I've heard that business owners who bought it expect it to make them richer. My research also tells me that it is pretty bad for physical products which I roughly understand doesn't work with product variants in Shopify. If I'm selling courses or digital products, CF is a dream come true. I guess that is also the reason for the steep cost of CF. Digital products have insane margins.
I think everything depends on the right tool for the job. But I agree, it is essentially a page builder. Which is fine, but if you're building funnels for customers, then CF probably isn't your best option.
I already own Thrive Themes, and I purchased Oninbox for emails (one time fee) (I used to use Aweber but never was successful enough to justify it's cost. I am now doing Amazon FBA and i want to supplement my amazon sales with my own funnel(s) and I like the thing you spoke of about being able to take a successful funnel and drop a new product into it on a new site (roughly speaking). So you recommend Beaverbuilder and some other email service? I really wish you would put links in your description to products you like and why. (even affiliate links)
That - is a brilliant idea. I'm still figuring out our TH-cam strategy so I'll start doing that! I believe the right tool is the right tool. I love Beaver Builder because I can clone entire pages, templates or websites and move them over to a new site. We have a template that we use for all our funnels, so we can quickly deploy them. I use Beaver Builder and ActiveCampaign, I even have a certification training which teaches funnel builders how to build and sell funnels using BB and AC sellyourservice.co.uk/beaver-builder-activecampaign-marketing-funnel-course/
So what's the best option if you're just starting with WordPress/Woocommerce and low on budget? What would be the lowest cost platform to make landing pages?
In my opinion, Beaver Builder is your best bet. There'a a free version and the paid version it outstanding. I also have heard good things about Elementor but haven't tried it. Beaver Funnels (our funnel plugin) also converts Beaver Builder pages and websites into funnels, with the same features as ClickFunnels.
Sell your service You wouldn't recommend starting with so called duct tape funnels?:) What's included in free version of Beaver Builder? I'm just starting and need to gain momentum to be able to confidently invest in those full scale funnels. Thanks.
Ha ha, well that's another story. Personally I believe there is better software out there and better affiliate commissions. I'd rather push software that I know is good.
Well just make it with WP n get affiliate commissions from each client for the hosting and the WP builder you use. Make sure they use your link and pay that way. Wouldn’t that work? Plus showing them how instead of paying an extra 2K they can invest it in Ads.
Hey Mike I’m very pumped that your channel is dedicated to the funnel marketing agency, as that’s what my company is pivoting into atm. Definitely going to check out BeaverFunnels - do you have any templates, videos or articles about selling funnels to clients with very high ticket products (eg $10k)? Thank you so much
Hey Coulter! Glad to hear man! You mean building funnels to help clients sell high ticket items? That's a great question. At the moment, only our monthly coaching calls cover that. However I DO know of some training coming soon that will cover that. Make sure to join our Facebook group to find out when: sellyourservice.co.uk/facebook. Thanks for commenting!
Sell your service fantastic thank you! And yes the offering is that we help clients sell their high ticket services/products in the 5 figure price range
To what you say at 7:20, Clickfunnels has a way to save a template then reuse it for another funnel, as long as you set up your 2nd funnels on the same account. After using them for years, my biggest issue is the lag that happens with SEO, unless you have a main website, if you use clickfunnels as your website, you won't be able to get into the code to set up a sitemap which means you can't submit that to search engines. It took several months before one of my funnels for a client showed up when searching for their biz name. :-\
Sell your service I actually went back to data to check, took almost a year to show up at all on a google search. Went back 15 pages and the page was more comprehensive, full of SEO copy...more than their old site so be aware. My lesson: only use clickfunnels in addition to a SEO rich site or add a custom landing page plugin for shopify or WP that’s $10/mo instead to run offers. At this point that’s what I’m shifting to as I feel constrained.
@@MKpixelfan interesting. I know that keywords and content works in CFs favour before the website. I build all our funnels with WP and a page builder. Lots of freedom and flexibility
Sell your service WP is fine for SEO, CF isn’t. Their funnels have forced nofollow tags all over code to protect their domain ranking, Google still responds to that tag by ignoring the funnel so unless you directly send traffic, funnel will take about a year of pretty heavy marketing to show up by itself. I kept checking 15 pages of results. Took 9 months before my funnel as a website showed up on the first page of search when I specifically searched for that website domain not even keywords. Reached out to CF about it, no solution. They assume you have a site & these are hidden for targeted leads. Also never register / buy domains on CF, they charge 2-3 times the price plus transfer fee. I fought for days for them to release my domain & not charge me fees. They make it so easy on setup but don’t tell you they own it the moment you buy through them & will charge you fees most other companies don’t. I transferred my domain to have more control over the backend but then realized I don’t need CF and this uphill battle to launch a funnel like process on shopify or WP. CF definitely makes it look easy & is great for fast prototyping. Now they’re pushing to move everyone from $97 to 297 plans with extra features. If someone wants custom landing pages for Shopify, there’s a plug-in called hypervisual page builder for $9.99 which allows you to create custom layouts that can suffice for simple funnels.
Thanks for this sharing! We are at a juncture of using page builders like ClickFunnels, InfusionSoft &, etc or build our own for our clients. ClickFunnels had evolved so much since this video was being made but the pricing is still. a concern. $3564 a year is still quite a burden for a lot of micro startups in third world countries.
Hey Dispatch. I use Beaver Builder for building my funnels and ActiveCampaign as the auto-responder. I've got more information here: sellyourservice.co.uk/beaver-builder-activecampaign-marketing-funnel-course/
Thank you! Thank you for explaining Clickfunnels is a website and page builder. This is what I thought, but no one is saying this! All I see is people saying 'websites are dead' and how great ClickFunnels is. Great it may be, But for the money, I have been trying to figure out why a newbie would pay when they probably already have WP or Shopify they could create a funnel on. I thought I just misunderstood... More importantly, I still cannot understand why the big earners would be paying $300 plus for the top account, PLUS a premium email marketing product, PLUS a lead generator product when ON TOP of all that our content is on the ClickFunnels site. So we are at their mercy. I thought I was just missing something. maybe I still am, but...
I think for a lot of businesses CF makes sense. I just don't see it as the best option for me or building funnels for other businesses. Thanks for the comment!
Sell your service hmmm, for an individual, still trying to figure out why/how it makes sense over Thrive or just using Divi and adding email option /download/buy button. Confusing. Is it because Clickfinneks make sure everything runs smoothly?
Well Said !!! $297 package is ruthlessly overrated . I was also paying huge sums of money to CF every month and their support is very slow in solving problems . It took me days to solve a domain problem . I switched to Interfunnels 6 months ago and only paying $67 monthly for the agency package and also interfunnels agency package allows me to sell its upto 10 subaccounts for every client . sort of a whitelabel thing . But your analysis is truly smart , well indepth . Thank you
@@SellYourService I am moving all my clients back to $97pm CF platform and using Active campaign as the E-mail automation and CRM....what do you use for membership/community solutions for clients or is that not a service you sell with sales funnels?
@@martyk6207 We absolutely build membership and community platforms. We use AccessAlly for everything. It's also our funnel platform and payment processor. If you're using ActiveCampaign, you should definitely check out AccessAlly
I tried click funnel on free triel unfortunately they took my $297 for platinum which i have never choosed, now its been four days i am trying to contact them to get my refund. everytime its virtual agent and its very difficult to get the support. i never buy again. hopefully i will get my money back.
Hey Raul, honestly I don't do too much with dropshipping so I couldn't recommend too much. Might want to check out Bill Stenzel's channel, he'll see you right.
I had the $97.00 per month and I found ClickFunnels hard to understand and how to build the funnels. When you need them because you have questions you have to type to type them a message and wait a few hours sometimes before you get a message from them. For what I paid, I felt that I should have got a physical voice. I spent a lot of money and didn't make any sales but when I left them, funnels that I paid someone to build the funnels for me, I couldn't take my funnels with me because they don't release them to you even though I paid for the service monthly.
Thanks for commenting Cynthia. This is my biggest problem with ClickFunnels. It's also why I believe it's unscalable for a funnel building agency. You literally can't do anything with it if you leave the platform.
I agree...and they are too damn expensive...you really cannot do anything with the funnels...it like renting my own funnels and on top of that, I spent my hard earned money and hard work on it...
hello nice videos , i got a question about first part of paying 297$ for clickfunnel subescrition per client , why not hosting 30 different clients on one clickfunnel subscriton that would drop the cost to 30$ per client per month ? or what am missing that would make this not doable ?
Hey Ahmed. I believe you can do this now. It's a viable option. However it's less a case of cost for me and more a case of putting all my eggs in one basket. It's fine for some businesses, but I'd rather have few points of failure and have the ability to move platforms if needed (:
Thanks for the input brotha! I noticed that Beaver Builder is 199$ for pro and $399 for Agency. So you're willing to pay more for the ability to control the platform and data information?
That's exactly it. Beaver Builder Agency offers unlimited site installs which is a big deal for us. When it comes to "paying more" are you referring to the pro/agency offer?
Sell your service Thanks so much for your response! Okay makes perfect sense. Your opinion is only from an agency POV, right? Because I want to build funnels other companies thru click funnels and don't have the current cap to pay for both. Yes, I am referring to that agency price since that's what I would be needing, right? Sorry you don't have to answer everything I know you're busy.
Not at all! I love the questions. This is great (: Yes, if you're building multiple funnels for clients, Beaver Builder is a better way to go. You can build unlimited funnels across unlimited sites. We have a plugin called Beaver Funnels beaverfunnels.co/ that lets you build funnels super quick using Beaver Builder as the page builder too. It even includes a content engine.
Hey Markess! Yep, sure do. I've got a playlist here: th-cam.com/video/dcVNkxoCZ8I/w-d-xo.html also, head to sellyourservice.co.uk/facebook to join the group and get some more experts who build funnels with WP (:
Hey Martin. I don't think it's a simple answer that I can answer on a TH-cam comment. I think you have to look deeper at what you want to add to the world. What are you good at?
Sell your service. Mike, I'm good at nutrition consulting. Currently making a course on Type 2 Diabetes Reversal. Problem...ready! Once reversed they don't need me. That's why most, even doctors, teach managing symptoms so they can keep seelling them blood sugar lowering supplements and medications. I can't do that, not with what I know. That's cruel. That's why in certain niches subscriptions work better than others.
It's a good point Martin and an interesting problem. I feel you have to think laterally about the audience. What are they hungry for (pardon the pun) after you've coached them? Surely there are other things that your audience wants? If they've reversed diabetes, WHY did they do that? What result did they want? What was the deeper reason? Longer lifespan? Better lifestyle? More freedom? Your job is to then help them with those same results. The result is not always tied to the delivery. Think about dietitians who offer diet books and courses. They then release content on exercise, personal growth, motivation, buying clothes etc.
Great points, I have been considering using the basic $97 version of CF, but now you bring up a great point, all my work and links would be on their platform and not my own, should I choose to move on or something. Is there a better platform if I'm only looking to sell eBooks and spiritual life coaching online? What would you recommend? What is your take on clickBank? Thank you, AdAn
Hey AdAn. Thanks for commenting. If you're serious about selling ebooks and coaching, just set up a WordPress site with Beaver Builder or Elementor. Both page builders are better than CF and have free versions. Use MailChimp to start and just create lots of content. There are always ways to do sales and memberships (AccessAlly is a good place to start).
I have been looking into this for a bit now, and just yesterday I saw a guy who had to move all of his business out of Clickfunnels, because he head a member's site, and each time he tried to add a module CF just wouldn't allow it to work well. Also CF would block paying customers from content, and it would allow customers who hadn't paid to continue getting content. It sounds like a real mess. I want to create and sell product, but the more I learn about his process the more I feel like I have no f-ing idea what this process is.
Do you still use beaver builder? Or have you found a better, more robust solution...also what about for clients building membership sites? Do you have a wordpress solution for membership sites that is secure and integrates well and is beautiful? By the way I agree what everything you're saying and I love CF, but still agree with what you say.
Thanks so much for the comment Kevin. Yes, we still use Beaver Builder. Although many of our funnel builders use Elementor. For our courses we use AccessAlly which has every feature that CF has and a few more.
@@SellYourService -is that (AccessAlly) more feature rich than Memberpress + LifterLMS ? I ask because I was all set on the Memberpress + LifterLMS (which also requiers a seperate module to connect to active campaign) but all together it was a pretty feature rich solution for $800/yr. 1st year then save 40% /yr after that. I just want and checked out AccessAlly at $1,188/yr (at $99/mo) and wasn't sure it worked with beaver builder and since I already have Thrive Themes, I was thinking about just using it for the page builder... Anyway, love to hear your thoughts or see a video on this subject specifically? Which ones best for which scenarios and why type of thing.
@@SellYourService that would be cool. Yesterday after pretty much spending all day doing comparisons, I decided AccessAlly is my choice. so THANK YOU for even mentioning it! I don't know if I would have found it until it would have been a hassle to change. Saved me a big headache down the road. :-)
Mike, love it, I was for a while with Click Funnels even got certified, but always wondered what all the fuss was about, we were just building pages that linked together is all! :-)
I know right! Still, their model works and some people love them. But for all the bells and whistles, it's basically a page builder. What are you using now?
In other words as an agency you only need 1 $297 account per month. I even asked a clickfunnels associate and he confirmed my question as being correct. Is that not correct?
Hey Alberto. Just to make sure I understand your point. As a marketing funnel agency, you would need more than one account. Unless they've changed their pricing, every customer needs their own account. Unless you're hosting all their funnels in your account and your domain?
@@tetomedinawallace5955 I think it's unlimited Custom Domains but I wouldn't use multiple customer domains on one CF site. Way too much risk on one site. And You couldn't do various different domains like www.companyABC.com and www.theothercompany.com to one account because one would have to be the main domain. Very happy to be proved wrong, but I think that's how it works.
Thank you! And I trust you, that's why I listen to you and subscribe to your channel. I really appreciate the work you do and the communication. That seems to be exactly how clickfunnels described it.
Hey there, I am using custom templates for landing page. As I am not using clickfunnels or instapage, will I still be able to generate sales form it? I am just starting out. Please help :)
Your point with ActiveCampaign allowing you to keep your list-ClickFunnels does as well. You can export your contacts at any time. I’m an affiliate of both ClickFunnels & ActiveCampaign. There are also 3 memberships... $19/mo for 3 funnels, $97/mo for 20 funnels and $297/mo for unlimited. This is active funnels as well... so you can archive unlimited funnels and access them later as needed. But excellent points-I also use Wordpress as well. ClickFunnels is perfect for people without the tech skills to run an agency... aka business owners who can take control of their own marketing and cut out the agency fees.
This is all very interesting. I'm a huge Russell Brunson fan, but as a web developer, Click Funnels does leave a little bit to be desired as far as technical tools go. And I'm intrigued by your business-related reasons for not using it. Would you not just have your client sign up and pay for their own CF account while you manage it?
Hi, Mike, I am very interested in knowing your whole setup, also I am just starting out as a marketing Funnel Agency and I would like to know more info please! thank you! BTW I get your newsletter.
Hey Eric. That's a great question. I've got a few videos this month about just that! Are you a member of the Facebook group? Sellyourservice.co.uk/facebook
@@SellYourService Hi, i watched the video and skimmed the comments to find the answer to this question and still nothing. Can you just tell us your tech stack? I don't need to join another facebook group. I know you said you use beaver builder and activecampaign, but that only covers the page build and emails. What about the shopping cart and the extras, like one click upsells and order bumps?
Awesome review - finally a completely honest assessment of ClickFunnels, I feel like their affiliate structure is so good that everyone online recommends it just for that, with no consideration for price and all the things you've mentioned.
Well, transaction charge is what they call convenience fee ...in other places...I still wonder...whose convenience we are paying for :D Brilliant video...love it...and its really a pain to shell out so much and get so little in return...
i agree with you 100%..... i am moving forward to use DIVI.... I dont believe is setting up all my business on unknown platform. its like sleeping in someone's house.
You could do that, but it's not building on your platform. Allowing the customer to freeze you out isn't a long term, scalable strategy. Is this what you do?
@@SellYourService oh I get your point now! So that means you charge your clients with just a monthly retainer without an initial setup fee? Because the SMMA's models I know support to charge a setup fee and then a monthly retainer for keep running their ads and if you do this model you need to give the client all the resources.
Not necessarily without a setup fee, most of our projects start at around $25000 and then have a monthly plan for maintenance, updates and care. But if I'm using a customer's version that they're paying for, I don't have any control over my access to it. But overall, it's what suits your business model.
1. It's difficult to scale at $297 per month per customer - If someone is spending $2,000+ per mo on ad spend inc your management fee - wouldn't $297 not be too much if they're making that back as a return? 2. You are building on their platform which could change terms of service any day - You can say this for any platform. Can't you just scale your business to its first $1M with ClickFunnels and then switch to an independently private platform?
Great questions Gary and you're not wrong. It can even work out "cheaper" with multiple clients on one account. The problem in my experience is the compound effect. If I'm on my own platform, at 10 customers it's a $2970 a month expense. If we assume that 10% of customers don't pay on time, that extra $297 needs to come from somewhere and it's harder to manage. True, most platforms can change their TOS and they often do. However with a platform on an open source agreement like WordPress, you're way less vulnerable to changes affecting you in the long run. If you grow to 7 figures it's much much harder to switch over and and future changes are likely to affect you harder. If you're using ActiveCampaign for your email provider for example, and they change, it's a simple matter if downloading your data and moving platforms. Rather than trying to uproot the entire funnel. Good questions though man, thanks for commenting.
Ah, thanks man (: I figured if people want to, they can click and support me and make a choice. It's the 10000 tracking pixels I've forced into your browser that you don't know about!
Why wouldn’t you make the customer put a credit card on file first so you can cover the cost of ClickFunnels? You can also use your affiliate link and get a lifetime residual of 40% of their subscription fee especially creating lifetime passive income for you from the client years after you’re done working with them. Paying for things like software upfront from a client is a huge problem and red flag and no agency should do it
Speed....how is speed of clickfunnels pages loading vs. wordpress? at the end when seconds matter, you have to script your own and that will also cut into your profits as you must pay someone or keep them on salary...If you're fighting for seconds with other competitors, seconds matter...that was the biggest issue at an agency I worked at, personally I do use clickfunnels to test and will see how long and how extensively but for now I'm ok...so if load time doesn't matter to you or you can't test and see huge differences then wordpress surely might be an option...oh! one thing about wordpress right? constant updates...that requires time...I use shopify for ecom because of not wanting to deal with constant theme or wp updates. I totally agree with you about everything else, using someone else's platform they 100% benefit the most and you end up just part of their funnel...it's great to start with, not as your biz model.
I totally agree! Page speed loading is an issue. Part of that comes down to your host. If you're providing funnels to your customers then a solid host like WPEngine will do you in good stead. While updates might be a pain, if you're standardising the delivery and technology stack that you use, it shouldn't be any more difficult to do. You're absolutely right that it depends on your model and what you're looking for (:
yeah we did that, still wasn't fast enough..WP is not fast enough...ultimately the fastest way is to test your pages on these systems then hand code final pages for a clean code. That's the only way there was significant advantage that actually made google show your pages ahead of others in results.
M K you can definitely speed wordpress up if you know what you’re doing. Use perfmatters and servebolt plugins. I put those on my Ecom site with woocommerce and it sped up instantly. But you’re right about page speed. And if you don’t know how to speed them up or don’t want to worry about it, and if you’re ok with your entire business being on some else’s platform, CF makes it easy.
Hey! I agree so much with your thoughts here. I am actually moving away from ClickFunnels. I wonder if you have any advice on transferring domains or just overall removing your flow from CF?
Hey there, thanks for the comment. Domain transfer isn't really our area of expertise. But it should be pretty simple. If you set up a new host they'll usually help transfer the domain. If you join our group on Facebook, at facebook.com/groups/sysmastermind there will be a ton of people who can help you.
You confirmed what I was thinking to myself earlier today: click funnels is a series of well organized, sequenced and. automated web pages. I was asking myself, why couldn't I do that myself using active campaign and my current host (Square Space)? You also bring valid points about giving up control to these platforms. While I don't do WordPress currently, I have some familiarity with coding, albeit some twenty plus years ago. Just not really sure that I want to commit the time to learn the inner workings of WordPress.
As An affiliate Marketer being new in the game ( what's the best platform? would you recommend?) I am not planning on having my own Product Not any time soon.
Hey there, thanks for the comment. When you ask what's the best platform, do you mean what's the best platform to use to sell and promote affiliate products. Or, do you mean what is the best platform to sell as an affiliate?
@pedro ceballos My only advice would be choose something that you care about. Because you're going to have to create a lot of content about the products and people need to see your genuine enthusiasm. It's probably better to start with a niche still. Do you have a particular type of person that you want to help?
Sell your service I haven’t used it yet, but I’m considering using it or Kartra. I’m a professional in the marketing and advertising industry in New York for 18+ years and I’m thinking about branching off on my own so I’ve got a lot of software to consider given the competition.
@@jasonmandel That's awesome, very cool to hear. Are you in the Facebook group? sellyourservice.co.uk/facebook. It's full of funnel builders like you (: we'd love to have you in there
Thanks, great video. Really good information I was looking at clickfunnels and your video helped. A random question, Are you from New Zealand or is it just your t-shirt? lol
Agree with most of what you said. This is not personal, but in my opine? It’s rather vague as to what you’re actually selling, apart from Click Funnels. It might work for a few, if you have a business already? Signing up to Click Funnels to sell Click Funnels is not a good business model. It’s as close to a pyramid scheme as you can get while being legal in my opinion. I’ve spent a lot of time and money on it. Made nothing. Will be closing my account down and telling others to avoid at all costs.
Hey friend! Great video and so clear how you explain everything. I was under the impression that if you pay the $297 it gives you unlimited funnels you can make. In other words, you can have 100 clients and still only pay the $297. Did I mis understand this? Would love your opinion. Thank you very much. Mario
Hey, What if all the other platforms adopted the same changes, and changed there rules as well? If you’re still using other platforms like word press for example you would still be playing on someone else’s turf, so to speak. Just saying. 🤔😆
GREAT question. Thanks so much for commenting. It's a really good point and you're right, they have just as much chance of changing. However, what we've found is that 1) if a page builder on your CMS decides to chance pricing or terms of service (like Elementor did recently), you can always just remove the page builder and at least you're left with the content and copy. With CF, the content and copy is locked to their platform unless you manually move it over. 2) if a CRM or email autoresponder system changes, you can just download your data, contacts and reports into a CSV and upload them to another platform and continue running. With CF however your data is in their hands. Good question.
Sell your service Great answer. Appreciate your response. One last question. What is the price difference between having your company build my funnel 🆚 click funnels?
@@brandonliedtke1688 you're very welcome. I'd love to give you our most accurate price which means I'd need to get to know your business a little better. If you email Michael[at]sellyourservice.co.uk we can set up a call. Our prices start at $25,000
You think? If you wanted a cheaper model, have you thought about building your own tech stack? We use WordPress, Beaver Builder and a few other plugins
Like the idea of ActiveCampaign and Wordpress Builder instead of clickfunnels :-) I have known Beaver Builder yet, but not BeaverFunnels. When I was on the way of evaluation between beaver and elementor, there was no link/comment at all (I saw...) that i recognized and pointed my to beaverfunnels :-( Maybe I would have made a diffrent decission at that time
Great vid, thanks for the content. I use ClickFunnels and also use WP + Thrive Themes, the whole stack works great for a solo blogger (i create ClickFunnels and WP content on my channel btw if anyone's interested). Some of the premises in here I didn't quite follow tho... are you saying as an agency you would start a new Etison Suite plan for each client? Is that because the client requires that they control the funnel builder? If not you can just create multiple funnels connected to multiple client domains with the full suite. You can easily share templates / funnels between CF funnels. If you have a page you like, you simply save it as a template, then reuse it in a different funnel. Also if a client left but needed to maintain the pages, you can simply send them the HTML downloads or the share funnel, they then could rebuild it in CF fast.
I'd love to check out your content (: you're right, while you wouldn't have to have a new suite for every client, most customers want more control over their assets. You raise some really good points there, thanks for the balanced view and well put question - great job. Overall, CF does everything it can to keep you in their environment (fair enough), but we've found we can scale our business much faster with lots of clients using our own tech stack. Horses for courses!
I love the content, I was a fan of CF before Actually until now and ( I used to defend them), but being an agency, I learned to listen and see what my client can afford. So as a consultant for them its my part to develop strategy ( I call it awareness, getting mature in the business here lol) to meet their needs without hurting their pocket especially those startups that has limited budget. pardon my grammar not my native language.
Your grammar and language is fantastic, please don't apologise for being able to talk another language. Thank you for your comment, very interesting insight (:
Hey Andres, thanks for the question. When we build funnels for customers, they need to have pages on the website for them to land on. Not all funnels require pages, but 90% of them do. Sales pages, landing pages, squeeze pages, thank you pages etc. So a funnel platform needs a great page builder. I just believe that Beaver Builder is a better page builder option. Have I understood your question properly?
If a funnel is a landing page then why not say it. I thought it was a special platform to sell stuff. I am dev and I can build site from scratch or create child-themes if I want to speed the process. But...I guess a page builder is a good idea for people who doesn't know how to code. Thanx
Ah I see. Well a funnel is a collection of content designed to change the state of someone. For example, we use blog posts and a squeeze page to convert a visitor into a lead. A page builder would just help us speed up the process. Thanks for commenting!
Great explanation. I think ClickFuennels has their niche carved out. Not ideal for those that are looking to scale. I feel that CF is geared more to those looking for a simple, turnkey solution - who want to build funnels themselves. As I take on my clients myself, the BB/Active Campaign stack seems to be the way to go.
Great summary Adrian! I've always said "if you own the tshirt company and you want to build the system, CF might be for you". But for a scalable option for funnel builders, you're better off with your own tech stack. Have you seen my course on BB/AC?
I think police going to be involved sir I am asking a advise from you should police involved in this situation? I know clickfunnels really good at turning things around on their competitors. But I need to know if I should stop him from fall into a trap or what.😒
Awesome video. I first got introduced to CF through (you guessed it) affiliate links and hype, but the price was too much, so I quit before trial was over. I just started my own local lead gen agency and I need a tool to build funnel landing pages for both myself and my clients. Just renewed my hosting and domain, and need to roll out landing pages for my services asap. I'm leaning towards Elementor since I can't really afford even 99/mo for BB until I start getting payments. Nice valuestack on the whiteboard btw ;)
I have a solution for you mate. I feel you because I was there too before. CF and other platform price aren’t for everybody. But you can have everything what you need for your business at mind blowing price. You can connect with me... I am an affiliate but I’m using it and I will only promote what I’m using without breaking the bank. That’s straight forward man
@@BrianSchalkxSEO siteground plus elementor and active campaign. I left all the outrageous monthly payments with clickfunnels and I started using wp plus elementor save me tons of money. Plus the fact that working with Mobile responsiveness, Elementor got my vote. I am not affiliate with elementor but you can check em.

Pretty much sums up the video! Thanks for commenting (:
anytime you throw together a bunch of pages with crap no matter if it's clickfunnels or wordpress, you won't see results so obviously the offer matters

I just started my consulting business through Sam Ovens Consulting Accelerator program. Im at the section where I am setting up my website in click funnels. His premade templates are for click funnels so I cant do it anywhere else. super confused now after hearing this vid or discouraged or maybe both as I am new at this.

Do you use redirect to make the funnels with beaver builder?
Redirect? Sorry I don't understand the question.
What being an affiliate marketer for CF; will it work just selling Russell Brunson's programs?
That's kind of the problem in my opinion with CF. It's more focused on selling it via affiliate models rather than building sustainable businesses.
A business like your talking about.i know nothing about this
Good Video, and one thing I was hoping you would say was the page load speed issue. The findings about how slow they load was crazy. I actually just did a video on my channel about this issue. I know this is an old video, so some of this is also out of date. Either way, still a good one!
Cheers man
I am curious what service or platform do you use to build your funnels? Do you have any video how to start an affiliate marketing career? What is a reliable source to find products to sell. I am newbie and idk where to start from.
Also, what are your thoughts about Kartra?
Thanks for the video.
Kartra is fine. Most marketing funnel tools are fine, they're all pretty much the same. Search Miles Beckler affiliate and he'll get you going
What tool or plugin can split test with Beaver Builder?
Split hero is pretty good. In early access at the moment

No reason. Elementor is fine. But I've been using Beaver Builder for a long time and didn't see the need to change platform.

@@SellYourService it really helps and you are an inspiration on growing my youtube channel also 🙌
What do you think about Kartra? I assume you have the same view if we're talking about the agency model as it's not scalable. Though, you could have the client purchase it directly themselves, and pay you to manage it so you're not covering the cost.
Hey Mike! I'm a big fan of your channel (:
Yeah Kartra is great.
Thanks for the comment man. I totally agree.

You can't say that about most marketing "GURUS" these days...
Yea... saw the rest of the video... sorry buddy you're just simply wrong... lots of assertions and false claims
How do you get around the fact that basically nothing else has the payment processor integrated into it?
Gravity Forms sounds exactly like what you need. Or even WooCommerce. Hope I could help.
Thank you!
Which is fine, but if you're building funnels for customers, then CF probably isn't your best option.
what microphone are you using?

So what's the best option if you're just starting with WordPress/Woocommerce and low on budget? What would be the lowest cost platform to make landing pages?
In my opinion, Beaver Builder is your best bet. There'a a free version and the paid version it outstanding. I also have heard good things about Elementor but haven't tried it. Beaver Funnels (our funnel plugin) also converts Beaver Builder pages and websites into funnels, with the same features as ClickFunnels.
Sell your service You wouldn't recommend starting with so called duct tape funnels?:)
What's included in free version of Beaver Builder? I'm just starting and need to gain momentum to be able to confidently invest in those full scale funnels. Thanks.
I can recommend Elementor, i invested in the pro version but even the free version is very versatile
What about those sweet, sweet affiliate commissions?
Ha ha, well that's another story. Personally I believe there is better software out there and better affiliate commissions. I'd rather push software that I know is good.
@@SellYourService When I heard that about get your dream car from their affiliate program, it kind of reminded me of a multi-level marketing thing.
Well just make it with WP n get affiliate commissions from each client for the hosting and the WP builder you use. Make sure they use your link and pay that way. Wouldn’t that work? Plus showing them how instead of paying an extra 2K they can invest it in Ads.
I learned something valuable as mistakes can be expensive to rectify ...

Thanks for the comment MK. Interesting insight.
Thanks for the comment Penton!

Thank you

It's fine for some businesses, but I'd rather have few points of failure and have the ability to move platforms if needed (:
clickfunnels does not allow this in the service terms. If you get caught, you will loose your account.
What's a good subscription service I could do in the digital marketing arena?
I am definitely going to ask again and will update you, because I asked how many domains I could host on the $297 plan and they said unlimited.
@@tetomedinawallace5955 I think it's unlimited Custom Domains but I wouldn't use multiple customer domains on one CF site. Way too much risk on one site. Who you work with
Who do I work with? You mean as a platform or service? I use WordPress with Beaver Builder and I use ActiveCampaign as my CRM/autoresponder
Why don't you make them pay for that bill themselves and get 40% commissions of it?

The number 1 thing I like about this video.... affiliate links where you're honest enough to say they're affiliate links.
Paying for things like software upfront from a client is a huge problem and red flag and no agency should do it
Good points Mate. I will note these :)
@@MKpixelfan if you run on google cloud (not WP Engine or those that limit) I can show you a better result with WP. Using our own configs.

Our prices start at $25,000
Mike, do you think if you made more videos bashing clickfunnels you'd get another 45k views on each? :P
Ha ha, maybe
They should give agencies special pricing. :)
You think? If you wanted a cheaper model, have you thought about building your own tech stack? We use WordPress, Beaver Builder and a few other plugins
Like the idea of ActiveCampaign and Wordpress Builder instead of clickfunnels :-)
I have known Beaver Builder yet, but not BeaverFunnels. When I was on the way of evaluation between beaver and elementor, there was no link/comment at all (I saw...) that i recognized and pointed my to beaverfunnels :-(
Maybe I would have made a diffrent decission at that time
Great vid, thanks for the content.
Paid traffic doesn't guarantee customer engagements 100% it helps increase traffic though.
Thanks for the comment (:
I love the content, I was a fan of CF before Actually until now and ( I used to defend them), but being an agency, I learned to listen and see what my client can afford. So as a consultant for them its my part to develop strategy ( I call it awareness, getting mature in the business here lol) to meet their needs without hurting their pocket especially those startups that has limited budget. pardon my grammar not my native language.
Your grammar and language is fantastic, please don't apologise for being able to talk another language. Thank you for your comment, very interesting insight (:
Thank you man.

Great insights. You just reinforced some of my own thoughts and concerns. Much appreciated.
Thanks for the comment! Happy to help (:
Good to know thanks.
You're very welcome. Glad I could help! Thanks for the comment.
I don't understand what you are saying. What is building pages got to do with funnels?
@SellYourService hey Mike, I know this is a bit late but what is the AC/BB stack?
Beaver Builder/ActiveCampaign. You're better off using HighLevel now sellyourservice.co.uk/highlevel
I love this video! I love your simple honesty bro!
Arewa Lanre thanks man. That means a lot to me! Anything in particular you like?
Hey Ville, thanks for the comment. Have you checked out Beaver Funnels? beaverfunnels.co
Not yet, but built my first killer LPs yesterday with Elementor, for a realtor. Checking out BB once I have the money to invest.
I have a solution for you mate. I feel you because I was there too before. CF and other platform price aren’t for everybody. But you can have everything what you need for your business at mind blowing price. You can connect with me... I am an affiliate but I’m using it and I will only promote what I’m using without breaking the bank. That’s straight forward man
@@godigitaltoday5322 I'm interested to know what program you are referring to.
