My son and I just saw Blackberry Smoke for the first time in Santa Fe on 10/13/24. It has to be one of the best shows I've ever seen and I've been going to concerts for 50 years.
As an old fart who's played with many greats I like this It's soulful and sincere unlike all the Nashville noise. All my blood sweat and tears hasn't been for naught after all.
I met these guys a few yrs ago at Bama Jam. Nicest guys you would ever want to meet. No "rock stars" here. Just good ole boys playing damn good music...

The fact that this song features Gregg Allman just chills and thrills me to the bone. These guys have quickly become one of my all-time favorites, at a strong #2 behind ABB, but with the music they've been turning out, are making it very hard not to rethink my list. Can't wait til they come back my way so I can go see them again. If you've never been to a live show, you're missing out. You won't be able to tell the difference in the music, because they are true to their sound. Keep rockin' !!!!
I challenge anyone to find a song by these guys that isn't awesome. Love, Love, LOVE, BLACKBERRY SMOKE! Beautiful, raw, soulful, intelligent Southern rock. They provide the soundtrack for my life🙂
The lick at 5:15 shows this. He modulates out of the typical ( but always delicious ) pentatonic and goes hard with it for just a second, and then back to what they do best.
Charlie Starr is the world's best all round musician these days. This song hits the feelers hard for me...just put my dog down recently..thank God for BBS
What a breath of fresh air this and there previous 4 Albums are Country to Country Rock/Southern Rock for today and tomorrow keep the great music coming Guy's..................................................... Will always cherish the memory of seeing Charlie walk on stage in Macon at one of Gregory's shows and just kinda of pause staring at Gregory, until he motioned for him it was okay to play

Cool song, but what happened to Earache? Used to be bands like Napalm Death, Carcass, Bolt Thrower, Scorn, Godflesh when I was buying their records. Doesn't even have blast beats 🤔
This album is over produced. The life of the previous records has been distilled away. There are some nice grooves here, but it's not nearly as joyous and free spirited.
Sorry guys, fire your producer. Too processesd. Like an Arrow is missing what you guys do best. Raw and real. Growth needs a cool hand. I won't lose faith.

I loved it. Reminds me of the good old days of the original Lynyrd Skynyrd.
