15:50 omg, I remember a similar thing being told to me. I also had an experience of hotel kitchen staff member answering my question about certain dishes at breakfast (vegetarian or not) and then continuing the conversation into a story of how her vegetarian friend (who works in animal rights ngo) was shocked at the offer to go eat some dog. The kitchen staff lady then went on telling me (while I started to have breakfast) about how much she loves eating dog meat, with absolutely no idea that such stories could ruin my appetite. That hotel was in Uzbekistan.
As ever, totally fascinating to compare cultures. The birthday culture of having to treat everyone else is German too and you receive lots of flowers and presents and money in exchange:)
A beautiful Croatian woman 🇭🇷 I don’t totally understand her story. She says that people were constantly asking her (and her then spouse) about having kids. Why not just tell them that you don’t want kids? Did you always not want kids? Did your ex always know that you didn’t want to have kids? Did he initially say he was okay with not having kids, then change his mind? Who filed for divorce?
I like the "men who wear slippers" saying. In see a man maried..forever having the clothes and eveything his wife decides constantly (probably complainig about it to him too) :) I guess it is what happens when you really don't care and is just avoiding any conflict with your wife/partner?

A very nice birthday card can cost $15 or more. But you should still bring a little something, even just flowers and snacks.
