To «lock» one cell just put $ in front of the column and row number. For this example the formula will look like this: =n7/$n$4 😃

You can use the TRANSPOSE function for your chart instead of having to retype the months and net worth. For the months : =transpose(B1:M1) and net worth: =transpose(B79:M79) . If rows 1 and 79 were together, then you would do it a bit differently
You can also skip making the table altogether. You can select the ranges you want in the chart editor and adjust the x-axis and series
Love your channel and your content!

Super helpful. I've always wanted to create my own spreadsheet and stop using temps. Thank you.

You’d need to make N4 an absolute in the formula so that when you drag it down it keeps the total income in the bottom of the division formula. You do this by putting a $ in front of the Cell like so $N4 ! I hope this helps you out!

Another Great Video Leila! I had the same issue with Personal Capital. What words of advice would you have for a new TH-camr just Starting out? I bought a new computer and am in the process of learning video editing. However the only thing holding me back is being apprehensive about putting myself out there. Mainly because I don't want some of my Aunts/Uncles and cousins to know my Net Worth.

I'm a new TH-camr and I was hesitant to start my channel for the same reason. I ended up creating a channel that didn't use my name and I do voiceovers on my videos.

Yeah I thought about making videos like yours and the channel (Road to FIRE). However I think it will lack some authenticity and will not be same as me sitting in front of the camera. Envy is definitely a thing and while I could care less what people think or say about me, there could be a problem. Mainly with family members making subtle passive agressive comments which in turn will make my parents respond. I don't get involved in family drama and try to stay as far away from it.

Yeah that can be tough when family is like that...I agree with what Make Money with Sense said but it can be more difficult to grow like that, but still possible.
I don't have family drama like that, but I've reached a point where I don't care what people say/think as long as I'm doing something that I know is OK and not harmful to others.

Do you have a net worth tracker template or video?

    • @PersonalFinancewithLeila

I have a net worth tracker on this template and I show how I created it in this video!
Were you looking for something separate/different?

In cell O7 you type =N7/$N$4 that should now work.
