Rome and Venice are our top cities in the world. After 18 months of continuous travel thru Europe it is so nice to see it again. Like you, we came to home due to Covid. Our borders are still closed. Enjoy. It is so special. Love from Auckland, New Zealand

Having you back in Europe is great news. While I am from the US, my heart feels more at home in Europe. Europe has so many good places to share. I am booked to be back in Europe in less than 2 months myself. Keep your fingers crossed that no new crap develops to ruin all of our lives again.

Italian hospitality is the best 🥰 You never have to worry about going away hungry from the dinner table. If you stop eating for a brief moment, they look at you weird, and say “Mangia, MANGIA! (Eat, eat!). All I did when I was over there, was eat.

I wish I could go back to Italy. I went a few years ago for a class trip. It felt rushed but I wish I could return and take more time and actually get to know more of Italy not just the touristic places.
As an italian person coming from central Italy, I’d say that dinner at 8 pm (20:00) is a perfect time. I do feel like that dinner at 9 pm or later is probably a Spanish thing or a southern Italian one.

ive been saving up for the last 4 months for a trip to italy. i wont be able to go for another WHOLE year, but i think its gonna be well worth the wait. this video solidified my perception that its 100% my dream travel destination. itll also be my first time out of the U.S in my 20 years alive so, v exciting! i WILL make it there by this time next year, mark my words
A question, with the lifestyle you live your carbon footprint must be quite large, do you do something to compensate your emissions or do you plan on doing it? With the recent heat waves around the world the topic is hotter (excuse the unintended pun) than ever. Can we expect some adaptations to more climate friendly travelling in the future? Would love to hear if you have any thoughts about this!

My husband and I fell in love with off season travel in 2019. We did Greece, Morocco, Portugal, and Spain in January. There were very few crowds in places like the Acropolis, ect.
I love that you call yourself "cheap"~ My sister and I used to be the "Shoestring Sisters" - We traveled on a shoestring budget, saw what we wanted to, bought what we wanted to, but were tight fisted about thowing our money away~ I love your videos and am thrilled the two of you are back flying around the world once again!

we went to banff, lake louise, and jasper alberta this june and it was EMPTY. our own backyard often packed with international tourists. it was amazing! this is definitely the time to get out there and travel because you can really enjoy things without the crazy and impatient crowds. i hope to go to italy next year but lets see what the crowds will be like :) oh well, still definitely worth going! glad your videos are back up for international travel!
We eloped in a safe state (PA) during covid with a few family when we had to cancel our wedding in 2020; and the best part was that we got our breakfast every morning in bed. I hope it stays that way!

My step-mother is Italian. Her parents were immigrants to Canada from Mariotto, Italy. We have talked a lot about going to Italy together. I am a huge family history nut and she knows almost nothing about her family beyond her grandparents names. She really just wants to see the place her family was born, but it would be amazing to do a tour around Italy.
My girlfriends and I went to Rome Feb 28- march 1 2019 🙈🙈 everything was empty like in your vlog too!! Except maybe more because there was no wait or line to get in 😅😅 It was for sure a fun way to get to see Rome for the first time. The following morning after we got back to our homes (I was living in Prague, Czech Republic at the time) we check our phones and see on the news that all of Rome had closed their borders and airports because Covid had gotten crazy.

My favorite thing about French/Italian meals is the fact you can eat at your own pace and not feel rushed.
