    About the Limpopo example:
    What is the government supposed to do if kids are starting to have babies at 14 years?
    This is a clear failure of the parents and community, not of the government!
    You failed to educate the children about sex and its consequences.
    Now, what are most of these unplanned babies going to be once they have grown up? They are going to be unemployed citizens once again blaming the government.
    Unplanned babies born into impoverished conditions = future unemployed citizens.
    Most high GDP countries have a low birth rate, most poor countries have a high birth rate. Think about that for a minute!

    Orania has a right to exist!
    But not in South Africa!
    In fact: not even in the modern day Netherlands would such a ethnically exclusive gated settlement be legally acceptable.
    Yet, as South Africans we are supposed to accept this Cape Dutch exclave? No!
    And can we please stop referring to Cape Dutch Boere as "Afrikaners" (= Africans)? It's a cultural and identity appropriation!

    • @lm_b5080
      @lm_b5080 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      remember afrikaners were put in concentration camps by the british. penuel had a great interview with this guy. they're preserving their culture and building ties with other black traditional communities.
      their argument is south africa's economy was built on exploitation of black labour - to build an inclusive community you must work for yourself and not abuse anyone for cheap labour

    • @globalinsightuk
      @globalinsightuk 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Afrikaners are not Dutch, they have a distinct language and culture and also it’s a unique mix of Dutch, French and German ethnicities. It would be like saying white Argentines are just Spanish. And to be clear it isn’t a gated settlement, there are no gates, walls or checkpoints, it’s just a town. And it’s all private land so they have a right to an admissions process, it’s been challenged and upheld as constitutional in court. Different cultural groups have a right to self determination in South Africa and how else could they exercise that but through having an area where they are a majority. These guys deliberately picked a small, sparsely populated and highly undesirable part of the country. They aren’t bothering anyone, they pay their taxes.

      I admire the afrikaaner, they just so different, Orania I love you❤

    • @esahm373
      @esahm373 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@globalinsightuk Thanks, but I'm well aware of "Afrikaners" cultural origins. I didn't say "Dutch", I said "Cape Dutch", which is a more appropriate term to describe the group wrongly referred to as "Afrikaners". "Afrikaner" means "African" in Dutch and other Germanic languages. If you say "Afrikaner" in German, Modern Dutch or any other current day Germanic language (except "Afrikaans"), you are literally referring to an indigenous African person!
      Hence, it's a form of identity stealing and cultural appropriation by the Cape Dutch s3ttlers! That in light of a history, where actual Afrikaners (= Black Africans) have been disenfranchised and denied their basic rights on South African soil. Seems problematic: you disenfranchise a people and then claim their identity as yours, to make you look more legitimate!
      I'm well aware that the Cape Dutch are not exclusively of Dutch origin, but also have a significant German and French Huguenot element, but due to their language, which is in essence a Dutch dialect (or more precise: a language that has developed from 17th century Dutch dialects spoken by the lower agrarian classes and differs from modern Dutch in the sense, that it's grammar and vocabulary lacks sophistication and granularity) they have maintained more cultural proximity to their Dutch cultural origins than to French or German culture.
      An admission process that selects tenants based on their "racial" background is not permissible within the confines of the South African constitution and laws!
      By the way: Most Argentinians have an Italian origin, unlike other Latin American countries with predominantly Spanish or Indigenous background population.

    • @esahm373
      @esahm373 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@lm_b5080 What exactly is "their culture"?
      You mean a colonial Cape Dutch way of living that evolved from forceful occupation of South African territory by foreign settlers, who expanded the territory to disenfranchise the indigenous population and create an entity based on racial discrimination and bigotted beliefs?
      A culture that produced Apartheid, Baaskap, Vlakplaas, Project Coast and the Soweto 1976 massacre of school children?
      What kind of "culture" is that?
      If they don't identify as South Africans, then they are foreign and should be viewed as such.
