Thanks for the video and stories. Started off myself in the mid-80’s. Rode my bike to 7-Eleven daily without knowing how comic shipments worked.
I've been meaning to watch this video for a while, and it certainly doesn't disappoint! Great job on the interview Bry - what a collection of books! Quite nice to hear some info about the Curator Pedigree.
BRYAN!!! THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS YOU NEED TO ASK THIS DUDE!!!!! Favorite expensive book in collection. Favorite non-expensive book in collection. The biggest one that got away. Craziest convention story. More show-&-tell with books that have a story behind them. His ratio of graded books vs raw (keys). Are there any niche collectibles he goes for that are lateral to the comic world. How he became a pastor (I’m actually also a pastor that collects 🤙🏼).
This was a great vid! More please!!
Thank you so much for the ammo!!
Great video Bry! You did a great job with the interview. Jeff, thank you for joining the show.
Absolutely amazing video! Thank you for all the wonderful things you do and being a friend to this hobby.
Thanks for doing this video. Ultimately, comic book collecting is about preserving history, and nothing beats hearing from the people who lived it. How awesome that he started reading at FF#44--the Golden Age of the Silver Age!
I've also held off from watching that documentary. Not sure why
me too
Outstanding, would love to see more of his collection. Thank Bry!
I haven't watched this type of video from you before, but I think it is super cool to interview old-timers and preserve at least some of their stories!
Well done, Bry. You did a great job of asking relevant questions, made solid connecting comments, and kept the interview moving along at a good pace without hyper-focusing any any one thing nor passing up opportunities to engage. So, really, nice work. What an enviable collection that man has and one we could engage a few deadly sins with thinking about (lust, envy, coveting your neighbor's books) but in the end collecting is about what brings you joy. If it's money that does that and you can either make a living at it or keep chasing the high-dollar Grails that's cool. But hopefully no matter what you collect or how you acquire and collect it at the end of the day you have at least that one book in your collection that makes time disappear. Best to you both.
This was very entertaining and inspiring. Many thanks to you and your guess. You definitely have to have him back. 🙂
Thanks, Bry, for conducting the interview. Jeff, thanks for sharing the stories and knowledge. That's one heck of a collection! I like the Superman 14 and, especially, the Seven Seas 4.
Thank you!!
It's always fun listening to someone talk about their collection. I'm halfway through that documentary - it's well made and I have mixed feelings so far.
Hey I always dig these videos. Awesome stories in the community is what it’s all about!
I watched the documentary and it seriously made a huge impact on me and how I want to collect going forward. Especially with how I want my kids involved in the hobby with me. Or at least give them every opportunity to enjoy it with me if they want to. Highly highly recommend.
Also I knew from the documentary that he’s a pastor, but dang how big is that church to be able to buy those grails?????
Such a great video. I hope Jeff can come on again and share more of his awesome stories!
Been collecting since the early '70s. Got all my books off the comic rack in the drug store. Great interview. Thanks
I loved Jeff's story. I would love Jeff to come back and do another video I would definitely watch it 😁😁😁
Insane collection. Great interview. Loved the back story of how he got into collecting.
Super interesting - damn good show - impressive grades for those books - out of my reach for sure - thanks for sharing Bry
Just wow..... Loss for words. He mirrors me as far as; the age, time frame collecting, and no facebook, etc. He reminds me of my childhood friends who also collected.
He has done a great job for sure, and anyone who would not love to see him again talking with you, is nuts.
Bry, great video ! Jeff’s collection, enthusiasm and hobby knowledge were off the charts ! I’m definitely going to check out Selling Superman ! Thanks so much for your hard work
🙏🏻
Grail. Grail. Grail. Grail. Collections like this need to be shown somehow, because every collector doesn't have an audience. Thanks Bry, you should do more stuff like this. Unbelievable.
I’m gonna go watch Selling Superman, and I’m sure I’ll have some questions for Jeff afterwards! Thank you, Bry, for a great interview with a truly interesting fellow collector!
🙏🏻
You were stellar Bry! Great interview with the Q & A. Great to hear all that wonderful livelihood from Jeff.
🙏🏻
Bry you a cool cat and you attract other cool cats 👊 loved the interview and big thanks for letting us see these truly remarkable books!!
How can you follow that guest!? Simple: Jeff Williams Part II. Amazing, and so much more to glean from him. If you get him again or similar aged-guests, it would be interesting to get more of their initial sense that serious collecting was a thing, that there were other collectors, a community, how/when/why they began preserving their books, began hunting back issues, began attending "conventions" such as they were, etc. That 1965-1970 period when Jeff started seems key. He hinted at this ("I remember at age 7 taking one Silver Surfer #1 to read and one for safekeeping"-how does a 7 year old do that?!). Great stuff.
Thank you!!
At seven years old, already knew about keeping one to read and one to stash!
I've always thought for CGC cases that they could take pictures of the inside of the book, put a digital link on the slab that we can scan and look at/read our book still. For a fee, obviously
It’s a great idea…
Great story Bry
Excellent sir!
Great video. It was awesome to hear about Jeff's love of the hobby. hope he comes back on.

Wow, what a legend.
Awesome video, Bry…loved every minute of it! 👏Bring back Jeff for more stories!👍
This is the kinda guy anyone could spend hours interviewing - would love to see him come back for another segment
Terrific History . Hope to hear more !

Great interview, Bry!!

Bry, great interview, you should be a professional interviewer if this whole comic thing does not work out LOL! 8) No seriously you did a great job!
Great video
A great authentic video Brys 💯

Damn. Bry, this video rocks, man. Top notch! Great job!!
That is an insane collection
Another great video Bry!
Hold on, I gotta get some popcorn!!
Insane. Crazy how I’ll never have a collection close to this lol
We were born in the wrong era lol
@ seriously…
Amazing collection of books. Awesome video, Bry. Did you ask him, "how much for everything?"
Mad cool!
HOE-LEE-CHIT! This is so unbelievable. It seriously doesn't even seem real.
I really enjoyed this interview. At the beginning, you asked if there were any questions that you would like to go back and ask that was missed? Two questions come to mind the first what is the book that you do not own that you would love to acquire. and 2nd what is the favorite book that you currently own and would want to take to the end of time? I know that you are similar, but I think it’s important to know on a sidenote you might wanna ask what’s the most valuable book that he ownsanyway thanks for having such great content. This is one of the
Great questions!!
what a collection! I would definitely would like to see more. Maybe ask if there was a particularly crazy purchase due to seller or location or some other circumstance.
Wow
You said it in the video. The books are so high grade that they don't even look like comics
Nice
What an enviable position to be in, to have a collection of super grail books in those conditions! And to also have the freedom to enjoy them without a fear of it falling into idolatry. Just goes to show, intent makes all the difference.
💯
Great Interview!!
Nice interview well done those books don’t even look real
What an interesting guy- thanks for a great video!
This video is so far beyond my collecting experience that it's difficult to relate. Nice books though.
does he press the books?
Hear that maga, a trans curated all your favorite comics 😂 theres a lesson in there folks..dont be so quick to judge..everyone got something to bring to the table.
Comics as a Hobby is over, its all about collecting. Very few dealers or buyers actually read comics anymore.
This is A.I. 😅
