My main blog traffic fell off a cliff in the first week of March and has not recovered. Most of the content was written by a human (me). On other blogs AI written content has seen a small increase in traffic. Adam is correct in everything he says. His success is his proof, but people don't realise how much work is involved. It's easy to start, much hard to keep going when day after day there is little reward for all the time and energy invested.

Hey great content brother! You got a new sub. I started a travel blog as I travelled all over the world for the past 11 years (and shame on me for not starting a vlog, it would have changed my life entirely).
I have a lot of advantages compared to many travel blogs I have checked and a lot of ideas to do it better (work in progress) as I also have e-commerce experience and will implement it into this.

Hi Adam, I’m a freelance B2B marketing and SaaS SEO content writer, and I’m looking to establish myself as a blogger in this niche. The initial plan was to create a blog site that I could use as a resume / portfolio. But I also wanna make money from it as well.

first let me say thank you for all the information you put out there. I find more value in your free videos than I did in the 1000.00 BS program I purchased. now a question for you or anyone else willing to answer. As a new blog with a fishing niche, best to post 20 or so wide ranging articles, ie, best baits to use for spawn, best bass lakes in the country, small mouth vs largemouth etc. or should I lock in on just baits and lines for bass untill I get traffic? appreciate any input. I have about 50 articles sitting in the wings. just not sure how to use them.

This would be more of a “news” site and would require writing about trends and news on a regular basis. This one is a little tough because it typically requires a team of writers pumping out content to rank and get in Google news. You would most likely have to niche down.

Hi Adam, a quick question regarding covering topics. Let's say for example the term 'skims dress' has a search volume of 86K and there are several other long tail terms like 'skims dress dupe' for 4.2K etc. So for such short and long term tails, do you target all terms in one post and avoid keyword cannibalization (because the skims dress comes up) or do you ignore the short tail keyword 'skims dress' and target all the long tail keywords in separate posts as long as they have a search volume of say 500 or more?

Hey Adam, I've had a tech blog for a while, this is something I love but it's been tough to grow. Now I've been thinking for a while now as I've always heard with success you should turn your mess into your message. I've had this underlying thought about blogging as a special needs parent. I have a child with down syndrome. I've been feeling like I'd be using this to my advantage and keep talking myself out of it b3cause I don't want to feel bad about it.

This is why i dont feel safe putting effort into platform based businesses, if anything happens to those platforms the business is dead thats why i am so reluctant to start a blog and youtube channel even though its important, even worse, in order to make money i have to do a niche i have no passion for.

Hey am, I am currently working on low difficulty keywords, all my posts are indexed but my post are not shown in search results, what should I do? Should I change the domain?
Same has happened for my sites after March 5 update, I have a news blog that is also in Google news, but new contents are appearing on News section but not in normal search results. I started using AI generated content in 2022 but mostly we used it to write gaming guides and news. But now I don't know what to do.

Starting a business dependent on Google is a huge risk. You must diversify your marketing methods. Then find the methods with the best ROI on your time and money invested.
just ban google right from the outset, the less they know about you, your website and your traffic the better for you.

Google doesn't care who makes money and who doesn't. They only care about how their own outcomes. They simply want to provide the best search experience possible for the end-user. Is it debatable whether or not they are doing a good job at that? Yes. But overall, they aren't looking out for anyone else's pocket but their own.
@@royjossfolk I really believe the current SERPs aren't helping the end-user as much as it did before. Many Reddit threads are totally useless. Many of the big websites by corporations don't create high quality content, they probably haven't even used the products they "review" themselves. I'm sure there is much better content out there that doesn't get a chance anymore. It's sad. Because I find it harder to find actual good answers, I tend to switch to ChatGPT and other search engines more often.

AI is like a typewriter. You can type a randsome note or you can write a book. Sadly, the world sufferes because of those who write a randsome note. All looking for an easy licing through theft mainly. I will always use AI and not gove a hoot what google or anyone else thinks about AI. Its like you hating my keyboard because I use it to write. Its a tool. I write an article then ask Ai to keep it the same but make it more readable and flow better. Thats it. I will never be ashamed of that. Or worse, not use it because amason or google say I shouldnt. They shouldnt abuse our privact but tha=ey do. I say FEm.
It is not about that, content written by AI poisons AIs. AI companies already work to prevent damage, they will stay away from AI generated content for security and health of their models ... A couple of questions arose regarding a blogging video from earlier this year. You discussed the best template for blog posting in that video. You mentioned that a specific template was hands down the best. You also mentioned the Google algorithm preferred that blog format over any other and you showed us the template.
