ive seen him predict the flash many times, and many times they dont flash and he looks stupid lol, he's playing in silver he either needs to not worry about that or flash, wait for them to panic flash and the q
No better example of the fact that knowing what to do when you have free time is op in league. Just telling Ludwig what to do crazy boosts his win rate
It's not that Ludwig is being boosted or that Perry is a bad coach, but Ludwig answering "I want to win" to the opening question of the session does feel a bit weird. In this game especially I think Perry did a great job of saying what the correct play was and Ludwig often followed the command and executed it well enough (a few mishaps, flash R bot lane, missing Q on Grubs and Blue etc, but good enough). The problem with this is that I don't think there was enough done in this one session to actually explain why a certain action is the correct one. I assume this is only one of multiple behind the scenes coaching sessions that Perry is giving Ludwig and maybe in others there is more of an explanation but if it is this session alone, I don't feel Ludwig got as much out of it as he could've, even despite current results saying otherwise (He won this game, he won X amount of games, etc). This isn't a criticism of Perry or his coaching, more so Ludwig and this singular session. EDIT: As examples just so this isn't just a random thought in a comment section. Multiple times throughout this session, Perry asks for Ludwig to show him lanes and in only a single quick glance Perry is able to see the lane state and if it is good or bad, then says to Ludwig if he should go or stay or how to respond. What is being conveyed is the correct play, but does Ludwig understand why it is? In that one second glance at a lane, does Ludwig get the information that Perry sees? Even if given all the information would he understand how to come to the correct conclusion? Again not to doubt Ludwig or Perry, but if this is the only session, I don't quite see how Ludwig, being as new to the game as he is, could have enough experience or knowledge to get to those conclusions alone.
I agree it's weird but also given the situation Ludwig wants to get to plat by the cutoff for the season. Ideally he wins and learns and takes those lessons to win more where if he takes risks to learn and loses games because of that it would make the solo climb with limited time harder. Without that the best thing to do is purely focus on learning but he has a self imposed challenge so this is his best shot at success to get some wins, improve, and maybe get a bit lucky with winstreaks or good teammates towards the end of the challenge
Im sure its to give ludwig a feel for how games should be carried and what he should be striving to be performing at. and in the moment its kinda hard for perry to explain why he wants ludwig to show all these things to perry. its a high pace game and ludwig "wants to win" so perry is locked in in giving that outcome. ofcourse ludwig doesnt know why perry wants to see all the screen panning and tabs but it shows LW that he should be performing like this if he wants to climb
IMO, if anyone is serious about climbing they NEED to watch vods. They need to repeat the same videos and figure out the reason why the decisions are made. Perry has a ton of those kind of vids. Live coaching really is just for Perry to figure out what the problem is and to correct it. But the real improvement starts from hard examining questioning and figuring out all the whys. This goes for any skill too. Figuring out why you suck ass and what u can improve on lol
It is exactly how you said at the beginning, this session is about just winning the game. But Perry has already done some videos where he goes over the situations and what Ludwig should and shouldn't do, so no new info is being conveyed, it's just practical examples of those situations at play. I think it's helpful as a complement to the theory; a practical step by step game to put the ideas into gameplay. I would have found it useful since sometimes just listening to the concepts isn't enough for me to grasp it, and I get more value from doing the actual stuff and being told exactly what to do and how, and then I connect the dots. I think that this session has a lot of value IF put together with the other sessions.
nah thats cope you need some decent mechanics too. if youre missing every ability, getting hit by every ability and flashing into walls you wont get far
One big thing you're trying to teach him (not sure if he will remember) is map awareness and knowing the status and locations of enemies and allies. He's been playing jungle as a PVE game for too long.
Instead of using a letter command. If he has a mouse with buttons on the side (I’m assuming he does cause he’s a gamer) he can set the caution ping to one button and same with the wheel on the other the make it so much easier.
Ludwig needs to learn to never flash and Q while on locked camera. It totally changes the angle of the Q because your camera comes with your cursor. The only time it's ok is if you're flashing completely straight forwards, but otherwise its always going to screw with the angle. Always flash unlocked because the enemy will stay in the "same place" relative to your cursor. Overall he seems to have a problem with moving his cursor right before he presses Q, kind of like how a person will over-compensate for the recoil of a gun before they even shoot the gun.
dude this is crazy unfair against the opponents , for me this is cheating you are holding his hand, you are the brain he is the hands. like how can you be plat if you dont even know the basic abilitys of zilean?
Having achieved all there was to achieve in the world of League ranked, Perry turned towards a truly impossible task
The uncoachable demon king himself
The scariest of the 3 demon kings
7:23 bro threw the q to narnia and hit a crazy q
nah he knew frfr
ive seen him predict the flash many times, and many times they dont flash and he looks stupid lol, he's playing in silver he either needs to not worry about that or flash, wait for them to panic flash and the q
@@dumpsterplayer2700Luddy is NOT predicting flashes lol
@dumpsterplayer2700 look where his mouse cursor is. Hes not trying to predict, it just goes to narnia because he locks his cam as hes flashing
L:udwig does not care about the opponents abilities. everything is a surprise

Teaching Ludwig comprehensively would take too long. You're right though.

This is perfect example why game knowledge is all you need to climb. Not mechanics.
Fundamentos
ludwig as no game knowledge or mechanics.
his mechanics have gotten a lot better imho, especially his camera control
especially on 18:30
nah thats cope you need some decent mechanics too. if youre missing every ability, getting hit by every ability and flashing into walls you wont get far
Diana at the end 💀
this is just the video i needed. Thank you perry 🙏
Isn't the hitbox more accurately their feet than their torso?
only a minute in but it seems like you found an editor pretty quick :D

LOL 18:20 is unreal
im so bad at this game that not even watching everyone of these vidoes can save me at this point
37:20

Instead of using a letter command. If he has a mouse with buttons on the side (I’m assuming he does cause he’s a gamer) he can set the caution ping to one button and same with the wheel on the other the make it so much easier.

18:25 lud is such a griefer
Plat means nothing if he gets live coach by a challenger LOL. Nothing againts the coach tho, impressive job.
7:30 og
this proves you just need to know what to do and when to do it, 0 skill/mechanics required
dude this is crazy unfair against the opponents , for me this is cheating you are holding his hand, you are the brain he is the hands.
like how can you be plat if you dont even know the basic abilitys of zilean?
what do you mean why 😩😩😩 DO IT AND THEN ASK WHY
I am NOT getting outranked by ludwig😢
