    Guys that was beyond awesome!!! I suffer from extreme vehicular PTSD after a serious highway accident that left me on disability with neurological injuries. I can barely sit in a car in traffic and I'll never drive again. But I could spend the rest of my life having this kinda fun with my son behind the wheel! That was epic!!!!

    Please do a black series comparison to the xplorer. Pros and cons of having trailer independent suspension etc.. Love the videos. Two thumbs up.

      I did a very extensive comparison and ended up buying the Black Series HQ21 pulled by a power wagon. I found them very different by way of amenities. The BS is a big step up overall.

      The black series is nothing compared to the xplore. Two totally different leagues

    Very impressed with the trailer but even more impressed with the truck pulling a heavy trailer up and down those steep dirt hills. Wow.

      It did pretty good. The trailer is not too heavy also. Probably 5,500lbs

    The best thing about the Xplore is that is 100 percent sourced and made in the United States. The Black Series are all made in China, shipped over and then the Australian suspension is bolted on. Thats the main reason I decided to go with the Xplore over the Black Series. Plus the Xplore has dual purpose, the Black Series does one thing, it does it good, but only one thing. The Xplore does two things, it's an enclosed toy hauler/storage unit, and camper all in one.

    Great video. I was really impressed with the Xplore and The PowerWagon. I’ve been looking at this this exact combo of truck and trailer.

    Amazing truck /trailer combo. Dream setup for anyone wanting to go in deep. But when I looked up the price for one of these campers, I almost threw up. I have a two up quad, so this is the perfect setup I have to say. By the way thanks for the grewling review. Not vary many people would have tried that.

    For those of us who have been 4 wheeling, we KNOW how steep those hills really are by looking at the video. But if you've never been 4 wheeling and watch... I agree, no way to appreciate how steep those climbs can be.

    Awesome rig guys. Luvin the video. Keep um coming. I luv my 15 AEV P.W. Prospector. I use it to tow my 10,000lbs tow hauler in the soft dune sand and beach sand not rock crawling. I go where no man has gone before. lol I may have to upgrade. Don't forget about your winch to pull it up from a tree or another vehicle.

  • @chadfinlay4086
    @chadfinlay4086 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    How about that Power Wagon! I have a 2019 and it's nice to see what a capable tow rig it can be despite the low payload. I wouldn't buy an offroad trailer from anyone else but these guys. It's easy to tell people specs, but having actually put the trailers through more than what most people will ever even come close to is priceless experience. When the time comes to finally buy my dream trailer I will be giving these guys a call.

    Can you do that with a utv in it for the extra weight

  • @drsnapid
    @drsnapid 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Gotta be honest the axles look so far forward that during those climbs the trailer was likely zero weight on the ball or maybe even lifting the rear of the truck reducing traction. If this were a foot further back... I know it hurts turning though. Everything is a compromise! It's a great trailer

  • @JasonWh
    @JasonWh 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You have Offroad maps to show your pitch angles on film to help with explaining steepness.

  • @BStott
    @BStott 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Now that you've taken your trailer off road - You do know you do not have to crawl it and huff and puff about it. Just keep going slow and steady.
    I see from your trailer it is highly beneficial having dual axles. I'll need another axle on my trailer. I'm building out a 6' x 10' cargo with single axle for out in the similar terrain. Just not the real steep hills but, definitely lots of rough uneven washed out rutty roads and steep down and out dry river beds (NE. AZ).

    The steepness is more a test for the truck...the trailer will follow, given the truck makes it...The articulation and rocks do test the trailer...I think if Timbren could raise and lower like the x22, it would be sweet...thanks for the video!

    You answered in the comments section of the Xplore mini tour video that you think the HQ 17/19 are more off road capable than the Xplore. After this, do you still think that's true?

    • @ShaneStauffer777
      @ShaneStauffer777 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. For sure still think that. The Xplore did great. But You can't compare the Xplore to the HQ19. Different size. The Xplore and HQ17 are the same size. As far as the steep climb I would rather the Xplore because it is 2000lbs less then HQ17. But the HQ17 has more clearance and better departure angles. Thc independent suspension is king too especially for wash board. If the Xplore had independent suspension I would probably trade my 17 for it.. 😁 Overall I have become very impressed with the Xplore.

    Im sorry to say as an American that I've watched a test being done by an Australian company called Bruder on a camper very similar to this and theirs puts this one to shame , I get it this was 2 years ago but im really ashamed of American craftsmanship when it comes to making campers , if I had a choice between this or a Bruder , I wouldn't even think about it , it would be a Bruder .
    Just look at they're testing in comparison to what you attempted , that should say it all .
