If this gets you down I recommend watching the History Guy's video on Albert Goring (The brother of Nazi Luftwaffe leader Herman) it has only recently (2008) coming out that Albert was bascially another Oskar Schindler, he saved hundreds of Jewish, Czech, Romanian, and Italian Jews otherwise destined for concetration camps. Early in the war, when the Nazis took over Vienna, all the old Jewish women were made to get down on their hands and knees and scrub the streets. I am 1/4 Polish. Also 1/4 Eastern Cherokee. Both parts of my background have had forced walks where many died. Ironically I’m also of German descent. I will say this.
