20 Minute Shoreline Bass Fishing Break on a New Pond!!! (Fluke Strikes Again)

  • If you're like me, you want to go bass fishing in every puddle you see. That's why it's a good idea to always have some bass fishing tackle with you everywhere you go. I had about 20 minutes to spare between appointments when I drove past a little community pond that I've never seen before. I pulled a u-turn and hit the pond running with a spinning rod already loaded with a Texas rigged weightless fluke and found a few bass willing to bite from the shoreline.
    Thanks for watching!!!

I agree, one rod and a mini tackle kit in the vehicle at all times!

i was at local pond 3 minutes from my house i spoke to another angler there he'd told me he'd slayed between 2 to 3 bass just on the white fluke the last couple few weeks. so i plan on going to academy and picking up 1 pack of the zoom white fluke. I figure it wouldnt kill to do a little searching , after searching youtube i can confidently say with confidence that the zoon white fluke its my new must have bait to add to my collection. Thank you for your time that have spent in making this vid.

I know that pond! I go to college right across the street from it. Saw some nice bass on beds the other month. Might just have to get my Maryland license and head out there after class next semester.

I always have a travel rod and reel with my tackle bag in the car. You never know when you get they itch to throw a few casts.

Neat little vid Cornell - definitely encouraging to be able to nab a few from a local pond.

I keep a couple rods in my car for the same reason! The hardest part is not getting my shoes dirty, or getting my work clothes splashed by a fish!

Keep doin what ya doin bro! Great break in the day! Always have a spinner and a baitcaster in the car, my spinner for my weightless fluke, whites the color mid afternoon, and obviously the watermelon and whatever flakes are in it works all the time and my bait caster to throw some frogs on grass mats, or Lilly pads, guaranteed there were some monsters lurking below all that slop in the pond. Good spot to go punchin as well. Send location lol

Tried using this technique at my local pond they wouldn't touch it both in white and green pumpkin weightless they kept hitting the weightless senko though. Blew my mind cause I see them chasing bait all damn day.

If I saw a bass I would cast it a little bit further away then reel it in to where the bass is then let the fluke drop to the bottom then jig it a little

Do you weigtless, belly weight or bullet weight the fluke? I heard the that where you hook it affects the sinking or fluterring action..true?

When jerking a fluke you should pause a little more often. You'll get more bites. They bite on the pause.

I’m going to say it, ‘a frog rod’. I know I know it’s big stuff to be carrying everywhere but, it is early summer...might be worth the hassle.

You work it a little fast, try letting it fal from time to time and it triggers bites
