    As far as showers there should be a shower in every terminal you should have been explained that but that at least let me know to make sure if I start the Minotaur to let them know, if anyone is watching and sees this message this no this is my third time being at Swift only because I didn't push myself to understand everything and I'll let go gave up but I have 7 years experience now and don't feel bad if you get with a mentor and hats with mentor I went through four Mentors and not because they were bad but you are not always going to mesh well together because of driving differences, cleanliness differences, etc so it happens. I'm going to start making videos to hopefully help new drivers and I'm thinking now after 7 years of experience driving to start Mentoring but only women because I am married and out of respect for my husband I will not be on a truck with another man, everyone stay safe and God Bless.

      I trained my first trainer, got his status removed and switched trainers at the first terminal we could make it to. 4 years as an 88m (motor transport operator, trained to drive rigs in the sand with an at4 behind my seat and rifle at my side[E5, shinies to go along with a rope and red beret]) and I got the first clown they could throw at me when I decided to drive otr 10 years later. Personally I think it would do alot of good to send in disguised experienced proffessional drivers as auditors looking like new students. (Or DOT, LOL) I've never seen trucking as hard, and the problem with the training companies is the only incentives (trainers) have is money in their pocket. The good ones should be praised and honored in several ways, the bad ones should be properly identified exploited, and dismissed.
      Or better yet, send all rookies to the desert to do the front lean on the sizzling hot sand
      And back for 12 hours a day while being yelled at by proven experts in psychology and operations, credentials and medals to back it up.
      Big difference between worrying about lumper fees or having to be constantly aware of rpg threat and i.e.d.s laid out in Pepsi cans and hefty bags
      If not rookies, then no doubt trainers should have a much deeper in depth requirement set by the good Ole USA federal government.
      Back to the terminal guess what the training leader was an old E8
      Next guy they put me with barely said two words and gave a 99 percent(said he didn't think he was allowed to give 100)
      The point is we get back out of everything what we put in. If we go into something with no drive, barely push ourself, do nothing about our problems and lay down to everyone who comes along, that's exactly what we get and what we become.

    What is it with training or trainers 🤔, I have done so much research and it seams trainers or Mentors either get a really bad reputation for their methods or there lacking in communication skills. I understand they are there to train but really, they are getting paid well for it so maybe they shoutreat pothers as they would like to be treated.
    As for dirty trucks, why does the company not have the trucks clean when they are dropped and will sit more then 24hrs. As a company they should make sure they are cleaned and sanitized for the next occupants.
    Just saying 😌 🤷 😏

I just delivered that load completely safe and no damage so I see no difference why pay us low vs others, they will say anything for them not to pay you as much, its business i guess all money.

      @UCBW_fmbUjcuqRu-65y1CwbQ Yup, bitch ass Swift fucked me over and made me go through the full 200 hundred hours of training even though the dumbass recruiter told me I was only going to be going out for a week or 2 to learn how OTR works and started me off with shit rookie pay because they decided they didn't want to recognize any of my driving experience. I ran the I5 and sometimes out East on the 70 and 80 out to Colorado and Wyoming for a FEDEX ground contractor shuttling trailers from hubs, drove for a waste management company and drove for the oilfields and they didn't count any of that even though the the recruiter said they would halfway through orientation I ended up getting informed I was going out with a trainer for the full 200 hours because I had been out of a truck for too long and had to go out with an idiot that knew less then I did but enjoyed trying to to micromanage me and about a month and a half after I finished training I quit and went to JB Hunt. Now I run a reefer hauling produce from Cali to the Southeast and will never drive for a mega carrier again. Swift keeps blowing up my phone to this day trying to get me to come back and I just laugh and hang up

      Can you go faster with Volvo ?

    • @knightx630
      @knightx630 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JL-co3es when I drove freightliners and internationals they would sit hard on 65
      Volvo would keep 66 steady
      However, there was also no function for extra speed to pass but you still can pass more frequently
      I want to point out that on a governed truck without extra speed function it is actually safer to drive 1 or 2 mph less then max foot speed because it is easier to create additional pull on the trailer when needed, such as in heavy rains, or thin snow(in which that's probably to fast for conditions anyway, by policy and recomendations), and inherently makes it that much more dangerous to go max speed in bad conditions, in turn it makes many kw drivers think it is that much safer (ntm, allowed) to go a little faster in bad weather. But is it really? (If your set at 63 on pedal, in the rain the maximum you should really be going is 61) if you lose traction you let go of the gas, keep your steers straight, let it get bite and then crank out your maximum to straighten the truck and not let the trailer push(keep steers straight where they were, reduce spin on drives without creating torque, get traction,and then maximize pull) I always SMH when I see videos of experienced drivers who jack knife from touching brakes and attempting to countersteer. In a skid steering is pointless, all it will do is put you in a ditch if you do manage to regain pull, or worse force you to countersteer sharp once again, the other way, which can easily roll your trailer.

    • @knightx630
      @knightx630 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JL-co3es the kw automated seem to be the worst trucks imo (65 on pedal) Never forget that on average Volvo weigh almost 1000 pounds lighter too, making it easier to shift weight upwards towards the tractor, with slightly increased fuel economy(bonus $$)

Approximately 70 hours a week you’d be done in 3 weeks. And, if I’m not getting the maximum time behind the wheel then what’s the point here?

I won the case and DUI was dismissed and the judge sealed the arrest. I can legally say I’ve never been arrested. But my license shows that previous suspension for another 2 years until it drops off. But it’s not a conviction. I got lucky with this case and took it all the thru court. The judge threw it out. It was bad arrest and they had reason to stop me. The judge agreed and sealed the arrest.
