How did you manage to get sound on the drone? I have the same one (DJI Mini 3 Pro) and I know they don't record sound. Also I didn't see a mic attached when the drone was taking off. I am just curious 🙂
@doatrip I see. It's a shame DJI didn't put a mic on the Mini 3 Pro. But at the same time, I understand most of the sound would be just the propellers. Anyway, thanks for replying back, man 🙂👍
@@torboyphx you're mostly welcome. Anyhow there are other solutions DJI could implement, like the hover camera X1. It's recording with sound and cuts the prop noise by software. I recently did a video on that. 😉
@@doatrip Why do you ask that? I assume you uploaded that forty second video clip in good faith that people will view for what you intended (as titled) which was flying our DJI Mini 3 Pro at night. You did that in the video, you devoted about four seconds of the video to that by showing the drone rise straight up into the night sky. Awesome, I commented in the same good faith. Do you have reason to feel insecure about putting such content like that up into the public domain? Are you feeling sensitive about it?
@@dgibbsfl I'm sorry for missunderstanding. I don't feel insecture or whatever else. But since I am doing a drone short a day I receive so many begging and blaming comments. It's incredible. I try to react relaxed to most of those comments. So I think I got you wrong. My bad!
Maybe you should take a clue from the abundance of begging and blaming comments. I went over and took a look at your last latest short, titled "flying tight without obstacle avoidance" and the title of the short just prior to your last one titled "fatal crash"....and I understand better now. I have a question....do you have the DJI Care Refresh insurance on your drones and do you replace the crashed drones using the insurance?
@dgibbsfl What should be the clue? Stop doing YT shorts? However, regarding your question: I used to have the care refresh insurance for my bigger drones like the Mavic 3 Pro. The mini drones don't have care refresh because I don't see the price performance ratio. The repair of a Mini drone via repair shop of DJI is pretty cheap. So in case the minis are damaged and not repairable by myself I send them without insurance.
Literally just got my drone out today for the first time at night. Was wondering why sensors did not work. Your comment saved me a bunch of stress/anxiety if something was wrong. Thank you!
I don't have the guts to fly in the night, but I want to. Would be awesome to nightly here i live outside of Oslo, a lot of buildings and lights, and a highway. Does the RTH work at night?
Yes sure RTH works at night. But be careful. Sometimes the sensors drive crazy and the drone starts automatically moving into one direction. When you are starting at night do it on a place with space. Just in case. But don't be afraid, it works fine when you have enough light sources. 😉
Hey finally someone who agrees on this point. I've jus brought a mavic 3 pro and I absolutely love it but when I fly it at night it sometimes " flys on its own" not much and far but I have to be real careful. I thought my drone was faulty but this is normal yeh????@@doatrip
@@Max-dm3vg that is basically a normal behavior. As the sensors dont get enough light the drone starts struggling while holding position. Try to deactivate vision position. This should help keeping her in balance.
Thats not an fail, that's a feature cuz the lights would kill your night footage. With the Mini 4 Pro,y ou can turn on the auxiliary light. Solution according regulations? Don't flight at night except you have an official clearance.

It's faked within the post production. I used the original sound and put it under the video. :)

wish i knew how god damn loud Avata was before i bought one of those, my entire country would wake up if i flew it at night...
That's true the avata is incredibly loud. That's why I haven't bought it yet. 😔
Night all ways looks the best some time
Yeah night shots are really cool
Nice flight man
Thx!
That was beautiful

nice short clip! What camera setup did you use? thxs
Thx. No special settings. Was the default setting of the drone. The other shots were made with a Samsung Galaxy s20

Can you switch off those blinking drone lights for stealth.
Nope they are for safety

Nope it hasn't. I have added the original sound afterwards in the edit.
All obstacle sensors are turned off in low light situations, fyi
Yes that is right

according to the faa you need a bright strobe that can be visible from atleast 2 miles away

My dji mini 3 drone wont let me fly during night. Its says it needs to calibrate its compass. Can anyone help?
Just calibrate it
I don't even get out of my car to fly my drone...
Just sit your drone on the top of your car and you are good to go
Yeah but how would I record the start when staying in the car?
Your actually not supposed to do that cause any metal or magnets in the roof can mess with the gps

You use the remote and normally you hit record once you are in the air

When I tried in my backyard deck at night it says obstacle avoidance disabled because of low light.
