There should be a big statue to Aunty and gang welcoming visitors to the Gong (and Dapto).....after all they put the place on the map. What a team they were.....RIP Rory.
Sadly Thin Arthur suicides in hospital in 13 Dec 2017. He was being treated for depression and mental illness. I watched the show in the old black and white TV shows and in the 2006 I saw their show at the Arts Centre, Melbourne, for a one night show. Aunty Jack was a bit of a red in the show however these arty types raised during the Vietnam war era are still bitter and I dont blame them. Graham Bond is still with us.
I'm surprised that there was coloured footage of the Season 2 opening, despite the show being in monochrome, wish they would be released in colour nowadays!
I doubt that the gormless Polak Kochie would have watched it back in the day. Nerds watched "The Brady Bunch". Odd too, that Kochie looks like Norman Gunstans' older brother.
I love that man.
