@jmack8767, The US is no longer able to hide the fact that it generates enormous poverty. All the super wealthy invest their profits in assets that made profits. Profits make profits. There is only a finite amount of enterprises that can make a profit in any given society. After that threshold is reached, the wealthy no longer can make income from business. So they buy politicians to privatize the public infrastructure. This amounts to the politicians selling the American public's property/infrastructure to private owners who use this formerly public property as a toll booth. The more necessary the property, the higher the tolls charged. This is why America has a for profit "healthcare" system. It's private property. Those profits enable the owners to live in houses like this. You get sick, they buy a swimming pool. Ditto for all public infrastructure - education, transportation, etc. This phenomenon in economics is called rent seeking. Capitalism is not the virtuous economic system they brainwashed us into believing it is. Capitalism is just the ownership of private property by the few while the many (who are property-less are forced to work to the bone in order to live another day). Nothing's changed in the last 7,000 years, except things are getting worse not better.
