Looks exactly like a Hoodoo Impulse 120 with the pedal drive (that they never have in stock). Seat, rod holders, and rudder are identical. The wheels are different though and the front hatch because 10.5 vs 12 feet.
great vid :) I have one of theses but under a different name ( horizon kayaks ) and with a different seat , I have to say thy are amazing for the price and very stable on the water.
@ the fin drive is better for bodies of water with vegetation as well as beneficial for shallow water. Prop drives are more popular with instant reverse.
The kayak in this video is officially sold and gone! I will be picking up a couple of Baby Whales in a couple of weeks along with some Bull Sharks. If you want to know more please reach out!
I have had this kayak in some very rough water and current down in the Gulf of Mexico. I don’t think I would hesitate to take it in a river or creek either. It is very stable and easy to maneuver
Where can I demo one of these? Seems like you guys over at hammerhead thought about everything with this build. I would've like the rudder underneath. Solid build @Hammerhead Kayaks
I do not have any experience with the Brooklyn line but I have had the Baby Whale in numerous types of water. Including big saltwater bays with very rough water, tidal passes with tons of current, as well as numerous lakes. This kayak is stable and fishes bigger than it looks.
@stillwatersfishing We are on a wide open ocean bay with not necessarily rough waters, but small waves and definitely a current and tidal. And it is pretty shallow, as is no more than a couple of feet pretty far out most of the time. Which system do you think would be better here? There doesn't seem to be much seaweed or grasses (brackish water) that I've seen on my paddleboard, but there are stumps.
@@HolliBaker1 I have used this kayak in bays. It is really easy to pull up the drive if you get into shallow water and need to paddle a little bit. Also having the instant reverse is pretty handy and some of those situations
@@markdavid1479 most of the dealers are located across the gulf coast. I am the closest one to you I would imagine. I’m hopefully going to find a little bit more out about shipping this week from some local vendors
I like it, but I think I'll just buy 3 of them directly from Vicking in China for $450 each plus shipping, and then sell 2 of them for $1,200 each to make my total cost only about $250 for the one I keep.
@@kevinreimers1271 sorry about that. Since this video was released the prices went up a little bit. It is $1550 but we are running a deal right now through the end of the year
Their logo is not a Hammerhead Shark, it’s a Bonnet Shark lol. And this is a Chinese manufacturer who just copies other companies and sells them to “pop up” brands who buy their stock from these Chinese manufacturers. There is a video from iCast this year where the Chinese manufacturer company explains it. They sell these things for around $500, but the catch is you have to pay for shipping and you have to buy at least 5 of them at a time…. So what they do is they just put your logo on it so you can sell it as your “brand” in the states. There’s no innovation or anything that is involved in making these cheap knockoffs. This is so obviously a Native knock off.
Thank you for chiming in. All I’m trying to do is offer an affordable kayak for people to get started. That is how I got started and I still use a hammerhead a year later. I Fish 2 to 3 days a week and it works for me
Maybe so but at this cost, it's affordable to many folks. You obviously like doubling the price tag. Good for you. Some can't. But what's better than nothing or fishing in a affordable kayaks. Tight lines sir.
@@stevenparker1669 If you're retailing these, there's much more involved than the cost of the product itself. Compare the price on this to what I paid for my hobie pro angler? I'd buy one of these any day of the week if I knew about them. I could buy roughly 4 of these for what a new pro angler costs. Seems reasonable enough to me.
The point I’m trying to make is not the price…. The innovation is stolen from other companies who put the time an energy into making and engineering their line of products. If you buy these Chinese pop up brands like hammerhead, and many others, then your supporting the direct reason that these companies keep having to hike up prices to compete with these knock offs…. I’m not saying it’s the only reason prices are increasing, but it’s definitely a major factor. These knockoffs lack hardly any customer support and have poor quality control. Maybe people who buy these, it works for them and their style… but many others, and I know quite a few, they end up trying out the sport and hating it because their cheap kayak and their poor quality, which leaves a bad taste in their mouth about the sport.

I think so. Let me check with the guy that makes accessories that I use.
