    I’ve been testing the demo and that amp model is better than positive grid its amazing. I couldn't believe the separation of the mid gain distortion I was getting it puts out sound like a tube Bogner amp on 10 if you run that software through a clean power amp with stereo duel channel 600 watt per side into two 4 speaker per cabinet marshals separated about 20 feet it would melt the pavement it would sound so good only thing missing was a chorus pedal.

  • @chromebuoy
    @chromebuoy 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tom is one hell of a player but dont buy into the fact this isnt an amazing AMP SIM just cos he can soar like an eagle on the fretboard, ive been testing this last few days and recorded some tracks with it and i own an AXE FX 2 and this plugin is on par trust me. The mIddle orange amp for saturated lead is just a joy, the clean channel with the blend function is sublime, not totally diggin the yellow amp head but its not crap by any means.
    For me personally this is the best VST AMP SIM out there, make sure you set this all up right and have a decent external sound card and flat responce monitors etc, anyone testing this on a normal PC soundcard and internal speakers or headphones isnt gonna work. Get the right kit and this thing sings as you have seen in the video.
    Decent demo Tom. Kudos

      @JX VX JX VX Sounds like a Metal Zone. This sounds nothing like a Metal Zone, other than the fact it has distortion.

  • @TrebleMidBass
    @TrebleMidBass 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Whats the difference between the algorithm programming of the distorted sound, compared to BIAS FX 2 or amp or TH U overloud or any other big brands on the software modeling? anyway Neural DPS will throw out a pedalboard soon on the market, which will be i guess the competitor of AX FX , headrush and all the rest. But yes the problem is that software oriented stuff needs knowlodge of mixing and setup your sound, and its not only just the plugin but depends on the IR in 90% how does the cab gives you back the sound, so its not necessarly going to be different than any other software packages out on the market.

    Great playing, sounds and options but I am struggling to understand how that overbearing background output delay and reverb sound through all the clips, could possibly work in a mix. What's with that? A personal thing perhaps, but it seems it would muddy up a mix, big time.

    • @kgmessier
      @kgmessier 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In a (proper) mix, the delay and reverb aren’t nearly as noticeable and end up just adding a subtle sense of space. It’s the sort of thing you don’t notice unless it’s gone.

  • @artysanmobile

      Jamin Guy I wouldn’t go that far. They are obviously doing superb work. It’s just unusual to market this way. I’m used to buying into a system, then paying to upgrade it. This is like buying the system each time.

      Neural DSP is the developer. Archetype refers to who the sound is "archetypical " of. In this case Tosin Abasi.
      I think this sounds quite different from Archetype Plini tbh.
      I haven't tried the Nolly yet.

    My main issue with plugins, it’s a pain to jam live. It sounds great but the real thing still sounds better. VST and D class amplifiers don’t hold value. There is always that next update or new model 6-12 months down the road. It’s way cheaper yes I get it. But home studio or practice is all it can do., unless you dish out more $$$ witch defeats the purpose. Not hating just being realistic.
