@Ancient 6.6 of course you can still be denied for being black...stop living in a fairytale. We dont want to legalize gay marriage because that's our constitution based on our religious stance. The hate crime against them is unwarranted so ppl should be punished but as far as marriage we dont want that here. Jamaica ain't the only country who has that law. Numerous countries including first world have that law. Dont get me started on countries that actually put them to death etc. Go to America if you have an issue with the laws of the country. I'm sure ud be in paradise there.

Ancient 6.6 yea, it’s hard to be raised in ja and not have some type a feeling about gays, you might not be homophobic but something, worst in that age, that age even fines oral sex taboo, it’s just Jamaican culture. Not saying judging ppl is right, cause he without sin cast the first stone.

@Ancient 6.6 so hold on, ppl are no longer entitled to have their opinions? Wi believe being gay is wrong.... Wah u a guh duh? Drape everyone? Wi nuh business who wah deh wid dem own kind, but leave us to our opinions.... Stop trying to push this down ppl throat. Jamaica is a Christian nation that believes that homosexuality is wrong....it's actually illegal here n we will keep it that way.... If u have a problem with our beliefs n laws, then u r the problem.... Go live your life n leave us to our beliefs. Tired a ppl/bullies like u.

And as a musician, the way he speaks about the art is so uplifting and reassuring. Modern music desperately needs better representation of artists like this who not only take seriously, but revere their craft. These are the people who can make GOOD music, regardless of genre. As a young southern girl born in Alabama I would always listen to reggae music. I loved me some Dennis Brown and some Bob Marley. In 2004 I married a Jamaican man who turned me on to Buju Man. I have always been satisfied with the inspiration of the lyrics in the music. In a million years would I have believed that the desire for music way back then would cause me to fall hard in love with one of the best people alive. Everyday I consider myself blessed to have the opportunity to enjoy culture in so many different forms. The only thing that I Dream of doing now, is my beautiful daughter meeting Trevor and we all flying to Africa to meet Trevor’s mom and grandma and we set around the table eating goat head soup and curry oxtails.
