Introducing a kid to gaming requires a fair amount of moderation to ensure they don't go overboard.
I think most of our parents made the mistake of letting us run freely with gaming because gaming was still a relatively new medium they never undeestood.
I think a fair amount of people who grew up gaming will have a better understanding of gaming to moderate it for our children.
Funny I was raise with video games, and yeah my parent plant a ethnicity code in my brain cell that play too much has demerit on you as you growing...
And yes it was called bored... I also has felt that when still a kid but when I was high school they didn't limit what a play to extend and it was bored😅.

Sally is like my Dad. he is the one who brought a Famicom into the household. and Kronii is right that it is a bad idea. i grew up as a gamer through late 80s and 90s with games that got no checkpoints and saves it was harsh. at the same time, i had no time management skills until i got older. my dad became strict with my gaming starting from my midschool because that is the time videogames started to soar. little did he know about the arcades i get to play with when i go home from school.
