Thanks. We are waiting patiently for our new 795. It will hopefully arrive about 2 months later than planned but our motor looks like being another month or so after that. That’s the way it is these days. Anyway your videos are useful for thinking about how we are going to set it up.
Hi Damian, and thank you for making some cool videos. It's a very fine boat you have. In fact, we have bought a brand new Merry Fisher 895. (2022 Model) We live in Denmark, so the weather is not as fine as where you are living. But in april we receive the boat. And we can't wait!! 🙂 I'm planning on making some videos too. You make some very fine videos. Expecially i'm interested in gadgets and equipment. Our boat will be packed with equipment. The seller has good time to install all the stuff, cause of the waiting for delivery. 🙂 We've just installed a battery monitoring like you have. Just another brand. I will follow you, and your boat. thank you ! 🙂
@@TheRudder Hi! 🙂We receive the boat in april. Because of some insurence rules in our habour, we are only able to have the boat in the water from 1. april to 15. november. So we hope, that we can receive the boat 8. april. Just before the easter holidays. 🙂 It will off course give us some time to install more equipment on it. haha! My boat salesman just send me a price for a SIMARINE PICO Monitor. That will also be installed. And i have said, that it should monitor all batteries and the level in the watertank. I will post some videos on my channel, when the boat comes. 🙂 I'm not so good at making videos like you are, but i will do my best.... 🙂

Thanks Mattia for your kind words. We had shore power for the first night at the marina and then ran on battery power for the next night. Yes had the fridge connected all night no problem. Check out the video on the battery monitor! What other videos would you like? Thanks again
@@TheRudder Could be interesting to see how to check/service the engines, the instrument panel, how to anchor this boat with 1 person or 2 people... just few examples. Of course these are just ideas for your channel, don't do them just for me :-) thanks anyway! Another one could be the toilet servicing... or how to book a night in a temporary marina, or how to refuel..
We are getting our 895 in 6 days! But who is counting right? We are so excited, the hubs and I are binge watching our videos, these are so helpful really. And shots of the doggos helps too ;)

Great Video. Thanks for posting. Very useful for any boat owner. You live in a lovely dream location with the boat at the bottom of you garden. Could you please introduce yourself and your wife? We know the names of the dogs! Great to see the dog toilet in evidence again. Couple of questions. Do you check the oil before each departure or once a week. Is your water brackish or salt? Do you need to fresh water flush on return to your berth? Look forward to more videos of the boat on the water and berthing/anchoring. Thanks again, as you videos are so helpful to other boat owners. Hi John, you make a good point I'll introduce myself, Damian and Brooke, my wife in a video. You've already meet Molly and Pippa. No I rarely check the oil. The engines where services just before delivery 4 months ago. I will be getting a service every year. The water in our canal is salt, hence why we have the fab dock (rather than antifoul). Yes the engines are flushed after every use.we actually have a modification to make it easier! Another video!
Just studied the vast inland waterways of the Gold Coast! Amazing they stretch for miles. Trying to understand why westerlies provide less shelter than easterlies. With all that inland water there is more than enough to explore without needing to venture out to sea.

No, we are rarely out of phone range so can use weather apps.

I've seen the 695,795,895 and the 1095 with the flybridge... I think the 895 is the best price-product-quality ratio.

Weather isn’t a huge factor for us. We’re a two hour drive from our boat and the decision on go or no go is just go.
