    As a landscaper, I wouldn't recommend landscaping fabric in any situation. It doesn't work and once plants start to push through it it only gets worse. One of the worst parts of my job is tearing that stuff out. It's plastic, it's a mennace. The best way not to have a weedy path is to use stone. The best way not to have a weedy garden is to have so many mature native plants that nothing else can edge itself into the system.

    Do you know where one could even get some Kincaid's lupine (responsibly)? Do any nurseries sell it?

      There’s a boatload on top of Excelsior Pass in Whatcom county. Get yourself a permit and get some seeds…. It’s a devastating Hike though. 😜
