The 25 yd line is where every cop's "great qualification" turns to shit... and we generally had 6 seconds for 6 shots with a barricade. You guys are hitting 5 rounds at 50 yards in half the time, standing, unsupported. Crazy!
That's because 90% of Cops only shoot a couple times of year. I own a range and have offered 1st responders to come shoot any time they want free of charge, we get more firefighters than police officers shooting regularly. The only cops that show up are the SWAT guys. It boggles my mind that the majority of people that carry a gun for a living are too lazy to put in the work needed to be the very best shooter they could possibly be.
The long running problem with LE qualifications is that the majority of your officers out there are typically shooting less than 100 rounds a year to stay qualified. Most departments don’t have the budgets to allow their officers to shoot at least on a monthly basis to stay proficient. Outlaw and Pew shoot thousands upon thousands of rounds annually. I would give up a body part for their ammo budgets! 😂
You’re both competition shooters so your recoil control is already top-of-the-line. You should’ve brought your wives out there and have them run some drills.
@@Michiganvices Get a wife that has the same interest as yourself. Plenty of hard workin country family men, have wives that shoot eqaully or better than their husband's. We can not allways be their to protect our loved ones.
I would love to see a second video with 3” guns. You both talked about how it would matter more on shorter guns and lots of us carry shorter guns too b
Just stopping by to say that I really appreciated this video. There aren't a lot of "Pew" Tubers who collab to give us their "Honest" opinions. Enjoyed the shooting, the commentary, and the expensive (relative) toys. Throwing it out there. I'd like to see a handgun optics review 👀
Good vid! Would be interesting to see this rerun with the exact same tests using P365 variants. Macro vs XL vs P365 with any comp (PMM Mcarbo etc) vs a ported P365XL.
I like ports/comps. I find that the difference when I shoot with both hands is negligible. Shooting single handed, especially weak hand, is where I see the advantages on my timer.
Notice PewView at ready is significantly closer to actual firing position. Outlaw elbows much more bent & closer to body. That takes time to extend his long arms. Both are still SUPERfast! Great stuff guys!
I think “Outlaw” mentioned in another video he has a slight impingement issue with his left arm….. probably why his elbow is slightly bent more🧐Both are great at what they do🤠
All these guns are sick. Would be proud to own any of them. I have the non updated version of the Bul Armory customized by Nighthawk Customs for DLC black out coating, barrel crowned flush with the slide, flat trigger, and tool-less guide rod.
Have either of you had a chance to compare the bull armory to a staccato? I haven’t even shot a 2011 but this bull armory 5” is REALLY getting my attention. Thanks for any info either one of you have.
@@Itisme007.5 Yes, I have a Staccato P and the 4.5 Tac Pro, with the porting, and I can 100% say the Bul Tac shoots better. There is another guntuber that does a side by side with the new 5" Tac Pro and a Staccato XC,..I will try to add a link,..but not sure if TH-cam allows it.
😂😂😂 Im no Staccato fan boy, but I found it hilarious that the opening drill was performed better by both shooters using the Staccato XL (non comp/non ported) as opposed to the Atlas, the Bul Armory, or even a Staccato XC (either comp-ed or ported) 😂
Comps make a massive difference compared to ports when you are running 3+ports on long comps with 4.25-5inch+ barrels with slower burning powders for major PF loads (.38 super comp etc), you get a lot more effective directing of gasses while still having the velocity to make major PF, ports work better with faster burning powders and shorter barrels..
here is my question: I am torn between the new ported Bul Armory carry guns. The shorter has 6 and the slightly bigger has 8 ports. Will this and the weight difference make a noticeable difference with an average shooter?
@@PewView awesome! That's the answer I really wanted to hear. Thank you for sharing your incredible excellence. Ex-SOF, but have never seen anyone shoot like you.
WOW!!! YT does not list this video in chronological order (descending) by video on my Homepage. I only found the video by going to his page. WTF, YT!!!
Love the collaboration Pew Pew and Honest Outlaw. Would love to see you add Mr.GunGear to shoot and rate each's top 5 guns in categories like EDC, HD, close range, urban/woods scenario, and long/medium range distance, etc.
I think this comparison would have been better on paper to see the splits and the grouping at 15-20 yards. I can shoot the Erebus faster with a tighter group than the Athena at 15yards.
You think the weight of the 2011 reduces enough of the muzzle rise that it is less noticeable having a comp/port, compared to lighter weight, striker-fired pistol?
Interesting stuff, especially the lack of differences in speed vs price. One question from a non-shooter: when you do competition shooting, does it matter where the barrel is pointing (ie level with target with arms low vs arms higher but barrel at 30⁰ down) when you start?
While a appreciate the subject, Micha from grand thumb and Teir 1 concealment have done extensive videos testing this comparison. And the conclusions are: ports over comps and ports + comps over ports. Triggers and gun weights also matter and they matter less than training and grip and trigger control. There ya go. Ya welcome
I have shot thousands of .40 cal. Through 2 HK USPs in compition one a full size one an expert... neither need to be ported. While I see the help of porting for compition, why would you want to bleed pleasure off in a self defense gun
Can the two of you do some CQE with bananas or cardboard and test if any eye/face contact from copper or spalling? That would be huge to know in EDC with ported vs comp vs straight or rotated 45 degrees!
Do either of you plan to review the MPA DS9 Hybrid? I have 2 and love mine but it seems like not many folks know about them. I think the Atlas shoots only marginally better.
All these pistols are 🤌 but at the end of the day practice makes perfect if u can’t afford 2k+ pistol I suggest psa dagger 250-350$ with a faxon comp 40$ pmags 10 for 80$ @ magshack & buy ammo ammo ammo get to a range & get fluent then save up and get a gun if your dreams but most important have one that’s reliable and be proficient with it
Maybe I haven't seen one of your full videos before, but holy shit your camera guy gives me motion sickness. Stationary shots aren't the end of the world.
Should have shot one-handed. Comps and ports will show a substantial difference when shooting one handed without that support hand locked into the frame.
Good to know the differences between the two, thank you! I follow Chris and it was through him I found you. Thanks to Chris I got my M&P FPC and M&P 2.0 METAL SPEC SERIES. Good shooters.

This is all great and wonderful but with Joe Biden's economy I'm just trying to put food on the table and pay my bills. I don't have the money for fancy Gucci guns. I'll stick with my Canik Meta SFT and spend my money on more training. Love the channel and the content.

It was fun but pointless at the end. These 2011's weight do most of work. It is hell of a difference with polymer guns.
