    Bristol born and bread here for the last 25 years! I may be bias but it's one of the best places to live - I think that is! Everyone is so easy going, it chill and SO much history and art culture. I work in Clifton and used to cross the suspension bridge twice a day every day. The view is STUNNING in the summer evenings and lights up with lights in the dark parts of the evenings!
    I love other people experiencing the beauty that is our city!

    Bristol looks amazing!
    I watched a International House Hunter show that included Bristol as it's focus and this city really seems like a winner. And it's more affordable than the bigger cities in the UK. The food Paige & friend were enjoying made me hungry.
    Paige once again awesome travel video.
    Paige, the UK government should hire you as it's goodwill Ambassador to encourage American travelers to visit the UK. Honestly I can't think of anybody else that could be more effective. Personally speaking I just renewed my Passport for spring of next year plans. Uh-huh yeah Paige has something to do with that!

Funny you mentioned you're apprehension of bridges - the very first vlog I saw of you was when you had just landed in London and you were tackling a bridge over a road - yes, you have come a long way, well done! 👏Bristol Uni is one of the best in the UK BTW (it's where a lot of people who don't get into Oxbridge go).

    I've heard someone from England say Georgia reminds them of England in how green it is and how many trees. I see what they mean here. Also, little known is that Georgia actually gets a huge amount of rain like England. The difference is Georgia gets alot of that rain in giant downpours in between alot of sunny days. England, however, has much more gentle rainfall and not as many sunny days.

    We have such a huge history of different cultures, hobbies, inventors in fact you name it’s here or has been lol. Chocolate bars were invented here, it’s the only place in the world you can get real cheddar cheese as it’s aged in the cheddar caves which gives it its unique flavour, you seen the suspension bridge which was invented by the guy who you saw a cardboard cut out of who is isambard kingdom Brunel, we have the harbourside which is hundreds of years old and still in use. Many many other things were invented here and let’s be fair it’s a beautiful city full of historic buildings surrounded by an even more beautiful countryside with a history that goes back farther than a lot of countries lol.

    Poor man designed the bridge, died waiting for the bridge, designed the SS Great Britain and numerous other amazing structures around Bristol and the UK and you want to stick him in the corner. How did you make it around Bristol for two days without learning about him? It's OK Isambard kingdom Brunel we still love you. ❤️

    Should have filmed homeless people, have noticed a few sprinkled around Bristol. Some sitting near the bridge you were passing. Bristol has a real homelessness issue. That could have helped to attract attention to a something real…Instead of just showing the good time you have whilst someone else is paying for it…

    • @goldenbrown0
      @goldenbrown0 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most of them and I mean like a good 90% are 1. Not homeless. And 2. Mostly not Bristolian. But are definitely there to beg for money which fools give them to buy drink and drugs and thus killing them softly with their ill thought out kindness. Bristol has great services for the homeless but housing is nigh on impossible even if there were plenty of accommodation. And many of these people you see begging on the streets in Bristol have not only a serious drug problem but a mental health one too. They could not hold down a tenancy. Mostly they live in hostels, like the one on Jamaica St.

    • @minipisa7595
      @minipisa7595 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can actually see one sitting next to the bridge at 18 minutes in. Can confirm they are homeless, Bristolian person here - they all look like that

    • @goldenbrown0
      @goldenbrown0 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@minipisa7595 50 and Bristolian here and living on Jamaica st for 20 plus , I can confirm there’s a lot of bull 💩 from most of these so called ‘homeless’ . But yeh there are some some actually sleeping out at night. But mostly the beggars aren’t. They either have a place or in a hostel of some sort. But as I said , it’s the mental health of these people stopping them even being considered for rehousing . It’s a sad state of affairs and similar in most big cities across UK.

      @familyread7889 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Give it a rest. They went for a good time.
      It’s very upsetting there’s homelessness,
      But you could get yourself depressed with other peoples problems. Or possible bad life decisions.
      Life’s to short, you can enjoy life.
      And help people out in your own ways, and at another time.
