Thank you Wing, I think a lot is lost when music gets played. Commentaries are much more useful imo. I seriously appreciate the kind words, thanks for taking the time. I stoked to have inspired you to get out again, that’s how I feel after watching a good spearfishing video!
@BlueNeoprene Yes, I am based in Okinawa for now. It is a beautiful place to dive with a lot of beautiful fish scenery. When summer time hits, the water gets warm, and life explodes!
Hi Chong Lee, I would never shoot fish inside of a marine reserve. That would be against so much of what I believe in and stand for. The area we dove was in the boundary of a military base. Not a marine reserve as such but it gets less fishing pressure than the surroundings. Hope this clears things up!
At the end of your borderline piracy video, you asked for feedback. But the comments are turned off. So just wanted you to know. I watched the whole video. Took me 2 days. I always watch all your videos in their entirety, don't always comment though, I watch on my TV at home. Hope you're feeling better from the decompression sickness. If I was you, and you do a big trip like that again, I would split the video into part 1 part 2 part 3 etc. 88 min is far too long. Once I get past 15 or 20 min on my videos, I usually split into part 1 and part 2. If I make a 40 min video... ppl will watch 10 min before giving up. So I don't want wasted effort on my part editing video Noone will see. So as long as the title and thumbnail are interesting enough, I feel it works for me splitting into more... shorter videos. That Australian guy Rodneyz Rokkit Kit, often does the same thing.
Hey Kiwi, I am better after the incident. Thank you for bringing it to my attention that the comments were turned off! And for the feedback, really appreciate anything constructive. I can understand the rational as to making multiple videos as opposed to one long one. I personally wanted to try something different instead of making more shorter videos, I enjoyed the process but that one is arguably too long. I believe that people who watch me are most interested in nz based content, so I wouldn’t want to fill my feed with oz vids. Another reason is I have lots more to share, it would have taken me longer to put out multiple vids. I’m ready to move on now, feels like I relived it a few times now haha. Has been a great summer so far and I look forward to sharing more missions. Thanks again Kiwi, great to hear from you as always!
Once in Hawaii, scuba diving with my Dad. We brought the rental car keys with us in a zip lock bag, you can guess how that went haha. Expensive to replace and terribly inconvenient. I try my best to avoid repeating that experience so usually I just put my key __ ___ ______ ____! Never had my car ran off with but somebody did steal a hooded towel once. Your method sounds solid, I see little chance of that leaking. But I would rather save myself the hassle and space of bringing that with me
@@BlueNeoprene yes, I am also constantly worried that I would lose my key, but normally the cell phone underwater protector has some line that I can tie with the catch bag or other rings, so multiple ties, so far so good :)
Beautifully captured on film and especially in words! Thank you for sharing hard earned techniques. Just keen to get out again now

Beautiful video brother!!! Definitely on my bucket list to come down there and dive one day!
Thank you Bug I love it here! Your based in Okinawa, right? I always thought that looked like an epic place to dive

Are you diving a certain marine reserve on the second clip? I thought thats what you meant by your friend having special access.

I will just put the key in a plastic bag, in most situation a cell phone underwater protector, and put that bag in the catch bag.
