My girlfriend and I don't live together. I am 56, she is 40 and we both have our own houses here in Melbourne, Australia. We see each other around 3 times a week and it keeps our relationship fresh, and we both have our independence and privacy to a degree. I am also protective of my assets especially at 56 since I have a shorter work life if I was to lose considerable money. The only reason I would live with someone is if I chose to marry and start children which isn't going to happen.
Bazz in Melbourne, that's a great way to go mate, I'm in a relationship with a chick up in Sydney , I'm 51 she's 48, we live separately, it's been 3 mths, we see each other once a week only, we talk regularly and she rings me, there's been no talk of moving in together, there's no need, we have spent 1 weekend together so far and I'm planning another soon, we both have different interests, it's better this way.
Thanks Uncle Jonathon for all your wise words, Here in Australia if you live together for 2 years it's classed as "Marriage" even if 5 days a week. I've seen so many male School mates get destroyed thinking living together is Not " Marriage" , it is at 2 years. Uncle Jonathan is showing us the truth, we have think with our brains not with another bodypart.
OR...don't get married in the first place.
I think there’s an old country tune that goes “how can I miss you if you don’t go away?”

I don’t touch western women at all. Just keep traveling to Asia and Latin America and don’t bring them back.
