Pam!!! I made a journal!!! I made a wedding journal for my future daughter-in-law! I'm so proud of myself! I've only made 3 journals ever, so I'm still new at this. I hope she likes it!

Good Morning, Pam & amazing creative Outpostians! I hope you all had a great weekend, and have an even better week!
I made 20 altered paperclips this weekend, and I think I'm obsessed. 😂 I only needed a few for the journal I'm working on, but holy cow, they are FUN! I couldn't stop!
It got to the point that I developed a system for it: cut all the base papers & fold. Then, tuck in all the paperclips, making sure it's where I want (I did some so I can clip the top of pages, and then I alternated the side I put the paperclip on so I have planty that can go either on left page or right page.), then glue it all down and dry. Then, a "main background" layer, glued down. Then... came play with punched pieces, bits and bobs, words... and i just arranged each one til i was happy, and before gluing, set it aside (so it was assembly line style, basically). I'm notorious for changing my mind last second on some things, and I hoped this would help - and it did.
When they were all ready to be glued, I ended up rearranging at least 3 of them and liked it better 😂. I am seriously in love with these things!
But... in the spirit of trying to stay organized, I knew that, once dry, I couldn't just toss them in a container all willy nilly! So... I divied them up into the three categories (left-hand pages, uppers, and right-hand pages), attaching them to blank/lined notecards/index cards, and found a box that perfectly holds them width-wise (and height. Seriously, a bit of a miracle around here, lol!.) Ok, maybe I've gotten a bit obsessed with organizing stuff, but... i like it, I can easily see - and pull out - the exact paperclip I want to use.
    I want to attempt 20 hidden-style decorated/altered paperclips now!
    But....
This cute pouch idea has me intrigued, and I think I may pause on my altered paperclip roll and jump on the book-page pouch roll for a bit. 😊 My newest journal is "screaming" that it needs one. 🤣
    Have an amazing week, everyone!

Update: Pouch created! In the process, I was REALLLLLY struggling with my fabri-tac (fabri-fix, whichever it is, hehe). After observing the struggles (and likely being subjected to over-hearing a few "choice words" directed at the glue), my partner ran out "on an errand."
All I wanted was this strip of decorative trim to run down the center of my pouch-envelope. (I used a magazine page that was just a huge picture of varieties of roses, and i covered enough of the inside with a dyed paper to hide the fact that the other side wasn't so pretty lol). This trim.. GRRRR. It's the kind that likes to ravel, fall apart, and the back looked like a ladder of threads, only attached on the sides, but able to flop around a little. Pretty. And frustrating. Art Glitter Glue? Nope, no go. Tacky glue? I swear, it laughed at me. I kept TRYING my fabri-whatever glue, but it was REFUSING to flow - it was so thick by the time I managed to get a second glob out, the first was already dry!
So, I paused while I tried to think of how to solve this, and switched to labeling my ink dobbers.
In comes partner. He hands me a bag and smiles - inside is a new bottle of fabri-tac, AND a new thing of e-600, with the precision tips. (I didn't have the heart to tell him the E-6000 was a bit stronger than I needed, but... it'll come in handy over the winter as I expand my collection of hand-crafted garden decor (both full-size & fairy garden size stuff). So, I'm thrilled.
Then, I go and clean out the old fabri-whatever from the icing bottle (btw, best investment ever!). Honestly, it was so thick it was GROSS. There's only one thing I can equate it to, and it'S NOT a pretty word. 😉
It took almost an hour to empty 1/4 of the icing bottle (that's all I had left in there), and clean out all the spots glue likes to hide in and makes it difficult to refill later. I didn't waste that glue! It's the new sturdy base in my glue caddy (i used an empty icing bottle placed tip-down in it as it dried to create the "automatic" stopper effect to help reduce future drippies). So far, so good.
I opened the new stuff, and in less than 30 seconds, my icing bottle was FULL.
Now... if partner had realized earlier... he had a small container of pure acetone and I could have added a little to help thin the old stuff out, but... tbh, I really think it was too far gone.
However, he did tell me where it is, so when I notice my fabritac isn't as thin as it should be, I can add a wee bit, and try to mix it in (says you can, right on the bottle).
So... huge win, cus I got that trim in its place in literally seconds with zero hassle. Amazing what the right glue will do. 🤣
Anyway... pouch is totally amazing looking, and I am very happy with it. It is the perfect little addition to my journal, and I just left it "loose" (using one of my new altered paperclips to keep it there), so I can still use the page beneath if I wish. And now... off to have more creative fun before the household gets too chaotic. 🤣

That's so pretty. Ironically I've been going through your "using up book page series" and was wishing your would do some more. You are so creative and it's nice to wake up to an early video with such a lovely personality. Thanks for sharing Pam and I really hope that you do a few more book page idea's. I've got lots of them and have fun out of idea's on how to use them. Give Sunshine a good morning pet and kiss from one of his many fans. ❤

Just a tip when there is glue "spilling out" from a border or using a die cutting like the butterfly, instead of ink I use Pearl-Ex, and it gives an extra touch, glue is sealed and item looks fab. Any dusty pigment will seal that glue, and in the case of the butterfly, the Pearl Ex will show inside the hollow bits of the filigree. I say Pearl Ex because that is the product of my preference, but there are plenty in the market like Cosmic Shimmer and tons of others. Piigments cover that tiny bit of overflowing glue in a wonderful way. Love this tutorial, thank you.

You can make drops with regular glue, let them dry, then paint a thin layer of glue on again, and when that’s tacky, rub on eye shadow… makes an interesting surface and brushes off where there isn’t any glue.

What is the best way to shake and mix up these Nuvo drops/Stickles... I seem to never mix them well enough and end up with a lot of watery liquid for many drops.. I hate to lose all that water, as i don't want to ruin the remaining liquid in the bottle.

Hi Kristen, I had the same problem with one of mine. I think it was due to it getting frozen in transport or something. I made some soft kinks in a small paperclip. (Not the big ones) and was able to slide that down into the tube and spin it round and round while moving it up and down and get most of it stirred back in. The one I still have trouble with is the one that doesn’t re-constitute well, but the others worked pretty well this way.
