It’s so amazing how much you can identify the monkeys from one another. You really are incredible for your ability to recognize them all. You certainly must spend lots of time with them. That’s wonderful you look out for them. I’ve seen many videos of harmful things being done to them and it makes me so angry 😡 and sad 😢. I wish I was in a financial position and healthy enough to come help with feeding them. I’ve always wanted a pet monkey as a child, but I don’t think I could have handled it because one I’ve never had a home that would have been a good environment for it, and I certainly wouldn’t have ever kept it in a cage. I would have been a great advocate for them though, because I have a loud voice and love fighting for what is right. Now I’m old and I’m terminally ill,so I can only pray for them now. Does the Hong Kong govt control the wild boar population through culling? In many places hunting wild boar is allowed anytime due to the amount of destruction they cause to farmland,as well as their ability to overpopulate an area & eat the local flora that much of the native fauna eat to survive
Wild hogs are dangerous and destructive! They can destroy a farmers fields in one night. The will attack farm animals, pets & people! Culling is necessary. Love seeing all the past babies all grown up! Thank you Uncle AM!💖
At 01:39 one of the babies wae jumping down to a lower branch, hit another one and went cartwilling down 50 ft fown to the ground but at last minute he latched on to a branch and saved himself!! He definitely would have died if not fot his grabbing onto a branch before impact with the hard ground! Scary!😬😮😯😳😧
If that man was simply a benign dog walker that the monkeys have seen before, if those dogs had not chased or attacked, or injured a monkey they would not be treating him as they would a large predator entering their space, especially as the moneys are used to hikers and runners coming by, and they actual live side by side with feral dogs. They would be more likely to gather in hopes of some food unless they have either been the target or watched other monkeys being targeted by him. If all he does is poach boars, basically the monkeys would not take that as a threat to them, but they obviously see him and his dogs as a direct threat to them. Its very possible that he has had some responsibility for a monkeey gone missing and never seen again.
That's EXACTLY what I was thinking. Even though these macaques are a lot more wild than the Cambodian macaques, they're still used to certain things and living so closely to feral dogs and not having a reaction but having a huge reaction to that guy and his dogs.....nah....he's done more than just poached would boar. He's likely sicced the dogs on the monkeys or something to make them fear him so.
The monkeys know the feral dogs that live in the park, but I've observed them heading to safety when any other dog is nearby, even if in a car, every time.
No, they use those dogs to chase and maim their victims, and last year what we have been suspecting all along was proven correct, one of the regular feeders saw them emerging from the woods with a still twitching piglet in their rucksack. These wild boars, particularly the piglets are their preferred game meat.
If wild boar is his only means to feed his family I could be less inclined to being upset, but I certainly hope he's packing something a lot quicker at ending the suffering of the boar than just his dogs. I don't approve of breaking the law, just saying I can understand if family/kids health and welfare are involved.
