I think you're right. If Tina is producing anything, it's not much. If she was, I doubt Teeny would be as, well, teeny as she is. Not sure if that's because Tina isn't getting enough to eat herself to turn it into milk, or if she has some other physical problem that is impairing her ability to lactate. Poor Teeny. She is the most unbaby-like baby monkey I've ever seen. She has the thousand-yard stare of the starving.
Widow Keeper sometimes size or amount of the mammary tissue is no indication of the ability of the mother to lactate. In humans, women with A cups can produce as much as her sisters with DD’s. The issue is much more complicated than that. Milk production is subject to host of issues from hormones, to hereditary, to structural, to dietary and the infamous issue of supply and demand. If a baby early on is too weak or unable to properly latch on and suckle strongly then mom’s body does get the proper signals to crank up production. Tina has had issues with each baby so either she isn’t producing enough or it’s too low in fat content and proteins to satisfy her baby’s needs. If she were a human we would suggest alternatives, but with macaques they can only refrain from ripping the bread from their baby’s pouches.

Teeny is just so precious and cute for words I am so obsessed with her just like I was her brother I knew he was going to make it he was a fighter from the start. Teeny was a little slow coming around when it came to forging but she has caught on and is definitely fighting to survive. It’s so hard to not want to just take some of these monkeys home with you. 🥰😍😍🥰
It’s amazing that with all those trees there are none with nice thick leaves that could give them a nice cover from the rain... I hate to see then having to huddle with their heads down and nothing to protect them from the rain!

Teeny is starving and I dont know what time of the season it is there I'm new to this channel but if a cold season is coming i do not think she will make it. She sprinted over to the food and then her mom takes whatever she stores ln her pouch i would like to take her and make sure she has a good life. She is so cute and such a good little one never throwing tantrums well very rarely compared to most baby macaques she deserves to live to have a chance at a good life she never gets to play with babies her own age she doesn't even socialize with them hopefully she catches up with her peers and is able to just be a kid and play
Has anyone else noticed how Teeny's fingers & toes do not go straight? Not even when she walks. This is why it is hard for her to pick up things from the ground. Could that also have an impact on her growth???

I adore macaques, apart from one crucial behaviour of theirs: they usually avoid bread crusts and sweet potato skins. Those are the tastiest parts! I and my crust-eating brethren will be vital and nourished when society collapses, leaving the weak innards-eating behind 🤣

I’m sorry but that fight between Tina and the other monkey was hilarious. The way they were throwing their hands up in the air it was comical. It is heartbreaking watching poor little Teeny trying time stuff as much food in her mouth as she can and as fast as she can. I hope Tina doesn’t take it from her. I don’t know how their pouches work but I hope Teeny is able to get some in her belly. I cannot imagine having to eat like that, so quickly and having to be so jumpy.....although with the way our supermarkets looked the other day here in America, that may be a reality soon. God only knows when this corona virus will stop.

Surprisingly they’re eating these scraps of bread.. Because annoyingly they get pick when there are other food to choose, I’ve seen them throw bread aside as if it was nothing you can never really tell if they’re hungry… they are always eating, to me the cheek saving ability reminds me of GREED!! They should know now how to forage it’s in their nature, so please do not make it seem that if humans don’t show they will starve.. There’s is green vegetation everywhere!!!

Mancheeze The Great These macaques was moved to Golden Hill by the government when the reservoir was built because they found poison to human, plants growing around the reservoir. So they took a group of Rhesus macaques and put them there so they could eat the plants. Those Rhesus macaques was starving so the government started the Register feeders program. Still today the food is sparse, not enough fruit trees or berries around so they need the extra help they can get. Those monkeys are the government's responsibility but there government is handling it poorly. 🤓🏴☠️🇸🇪
Teeny is beyond amazing. She has been the baby who was determined to survive. Her spirit is truly admirable. And damn cute.
