@Neji191 It is as intended. The ultras are, by design, meant to give the "losing" player a chance for a come back like that. It's not cheap, Daigo made the mistake of firing that fireball during Dudley's wake up and paid for it. What I find it tasteless however is the taunt Marn did during the first round.
im pretty sure daigo said he doesnt mind, its actually satisfying to know that people get so overly excited that they beat him because it reassures that hes still thee beast
@Perkyguy Daigo was dashing back on opponent's wake up quite often at the time, hence the ultra. Lot of players caught onto that and it's one reason Daigo doesn't do that as much anymore.
@FistOfSoySauce not really very bad, he and Wong only prove they are desperate when they act the way they do when the beat Daigo in a match/round. He's way superior and no one always wins. BTW, do you play online? I think you nick sounds familiar!
Yo, that catching that backdash with the ultra was a GODLIKE read from Marn! I didn't notice until watching the match again, but Daigo had the tendency to backdash just about every time Dudley got a knockdown and started swaying. The 1st time Marn simply countered Daigo's reversal shoryu with EX Jet upper. After that is when the tendency was created (most likely to avoid and counter any more EX Jet Uppers). Marn picked up on this and took advantage of it right when he needed it most. Good shit!
daigo was a bit hasty on the last right, we rushed too much...Probably because he was a bit angry from the previous round when marn guessed his backdash
@PooFaceMcButt It all depends on how you use it. I often use it to punish uppercut whiffs and focus attacks. It almost seems a waste at the end of a juggle.
Just a question. How beneficial is it for Daigo to fly all the way to USA to game? Is there more money in it, is Daigo sponsors paying for the trip or something? Sorry I just don't get it and I'm not saying Daigo shouldn't be in the tournaments just why is he?
