No doubt that Razor ‘ all blacks will reign like before because they have dream team staff coaching and the mentor Wayne smith and new generation talents youngers !
Exciting times, proper stoked for Razor and Co, bringing Smithy in is a decent master stroke. World rugby is super strong and sets up a great test enviroment for tue ABs. ✌️😎
i truly think if razor doesn’t immediately come out winning folk will turn on him just like they do with every other coach. i hope he hits the ground running, but you never know
Insightful analysis. Thanks. Would be good to see the stats on yellow cards too. Ie the red cards pattern possibly biased a bit by the change in the laws recently. Although I think the yellow card pattern would probably be similar? Seem to have been quite prevalent in last few years.
I’m no Ian Foster fan but you draw a long bow with the disciplinary record under his tenure vs historical AB eras. Buck shelford once knocked a guy out cold and the other guy got carded. Tamati Ellison as a “contact coach” should help
He’s planning for transition, competition, and evolution. Will see how it goes. The WC squad still good for a year or two. No need for wholesale changes, but going to b difficult to find a BB replacement and the older BB has already lost a yard or two in pace. BB is going to b his biggest replacement headache. The man provides that genius, pace and spark that defined old school AB backline play. Talea also has what it takes to make an AB great. For the rest of tje backline, it is best ordinary and wont give the opposition sleepless nights. To me BB one of the last heroes that truly represented the best of the McCaw era. There will b no other like that again ever….
Disagree on a number of points but Razor is almost definantly going to select from Japan .If the player is the best in their position then he will pick him. Mo'unga and Retallick in particular fit that description. I don't see Sam Cane as an AB under Robertson as he will wont those loose forward positions covered by Grace ,Blackadder and Christie etc
I think the glaring weakness currently for the ABs is their 2nd row-loose forwards pack. Scott Barrett and Ardie Savea are the only proven world class players from the Foster era. Sam Cane isn't game changing and lacks power/size as a ball carrier and lacks height as a 3rd line-out jumper. Ethan Blackadder is promising as a loose forward-3rd line out option if only he can keep from being injured. I think Razor will be focusing on finding big powerful mobile and tall loose forward options in the next 1-2yrs in the mold of a Kieran Read and a genuinely out and out tall lock like a prime Sam Whitelock. Once he gets his engine room and backrow sorted, 90% of the ABs issues dealing with the top international teams will be solved.
We need some sort of bias for a team just because if you look at history when we have more players that play in the same teams it works well especially the forwards. Stephen needs to be in the squad just as a dual cover just in case. That’s just my opinion
Interesting to see Scott Barrett as the captain, as he also features significantly in the red card discussion. If Razor is that keen on discipline, how can one of the most penalised players be captain?
ABs as a base starting point need to match and better the Boks in size and bulk across the whole team. If we can do that, then add inherent open play skills, then will be back to a consistency of winning. As the basic rule in boxing goes, a good big man will always beat a good smaller man.
don't want ABS to start playing like SA though, winning is very important, but attracting new fans to the game is important too. What do you remember about SA play during RWC final 23? -it wasn't the beautiful tries SA scored- cause there wasn't any. Same as 95 and 07 finals
Razor will be definitely bring back Richie no doubt. He has a particular style to run the ship. Dmac, although a brilliant player, who plays whats in front of him, will probably not be able to run the cutter as he wanted.
@7:20 Perhaps you worded it wrong.... but there is the guy you seem to be forgetting by the name of Antoine Dupont. Aside from that, Stevey P over Morgan without question.
Not at all, he’s yet to show the evidence he could be great in black. He’s strong, he’s a good passer, but he’s yet to become a regular starter for the Chiefs. Fakatava and Roigard on the other hand are already capped and will have the advantage of stepping up in struggling teams, where they can really prove themselves. I’m sure Ratima will eventually get capped, but he’ll inevitably make way for Hotham by the point of the 2027 RWC…
Patrick Tuipulotu in at lock for Zach Gallagher and or Fabian Holland. Stephen Perofeta over Aiden Morgan & Sevu Reece over Macca Springer. Not a huge fan of Finlay Christie either
As a South African, i hope that Scott does well because i believe that a strong AB brings out the best in springboks.
100%

@@DrissZyani-bu5moWayne Smith wow
As a patriotic South African, I’m sure the All Blacks will dominate rugby once more with arguably the most attractive style of rugby.
Kiwi here.
Not gonna lie, SA still gonna stomp for a while. Razor has his work cut out for him and it wont be quick
Attractive scoreboard

With his sick breakdancing 🕺
I hope Razor starts with blank sheet.
Let all these players earn their positions.
It is about performance not reputation.

Ruben love over Sean Stevenson is crazy 😂, but I do agree on springer
@@clyde-x5r3v Wym hell no , so a 2nd string 1st 5 is better then the most dominant full back in super rugby last year? Get off the drugs please
We will stay on top for a very long time

Zarn Sullivan should be groomed. Unlimited potential
You got to be sleeping to not bring him in and give him a taste

He is complete footballer
He can pass, run, kick and tackle. He can play flyhalf and fullback.

Cullen grace and Peter lakai seem promising
not meaning to defend cane but how many 7s have been the 3rd lineout option anyway ? thats more the role of a 6
I'm not a massive Cane fan, but his D is game changing. He makes so many important tackles

Interesting to see Scott Barrett as the captain, as he also features significantly in the red card discussion. If Razor is that keen on discipline, how can one of the most penalised players be captain?
Because Scotty has an engine.
Most likely being captain may make Barrett be more passive with his play style.

AB's have most facets down. Just need some mongrel and aggression in the contact area.
They will him now and razor Ryan work about front row.
