It’s double jeopardy isn’t it, we don’t want to lose you as a Crusader coach but we need you as an AB coach, it’s bitter sweet for me as I am a Crusader by birthright but the ABs are my epitome of greatness on the rugby paddock. Razor, you were a humble, yet great coach and now you deserve a crack at the national level, you are a humble chap but you are more and I think you and your coaching team will bring a new class of rugby to the world. Thank you Sir, from the bottom of our hearts, I will cry for our loss but delight in our gain. Razor, grab your board and hit the surf son and always hold your head up high, I’m so proud of you bro

However the building block foundation that he, not only has witnessed being laid, but also adding the reinforcement to this mighty edifice, will attract winning combinations of admin and coaching staff, players and families as the very mass of gravity attracts like.

I really think he is going to be an amazing coach for the BA's. That is taken nothing away from what Ian has achieved, this year, the All Blacks have cemented themselves back at the top of world rugby, which should make as all incredibly proud.
I just feel Scott is going to bring a new energy and add to the proud Dynasty of the All Blacks, in a new, passionate way, that we haven’t seen before.

What an absolutely beautiful interview with Scott "Razor " Robertson. His authenticity , he is what he is , is a huge part of his success. A big part of wonderful Crusaders teams as a player and then 7 in a row as coach. He is amazing. It has been a pleasure to have known him during this wonderful time. People outside of here often criticize "us" , the team , Razor etc... There has been one heck of a lot of adversity in getting these titles. This year, massive injury toll. But they made it, beating a much fancied opponent, the Chiefs on THERE patch !!

What a hugely likeable character Razor is and I’m stoked that he finished his tenure with a victory, even with the massive depletion of first choice players through injury and his coaching team getting poached by the NZRU to support Senor Foster.
I supported the Saders in their first year, while working away in the UK. Wore the good bastich mocking from all the rest of the lads that first year, for throwing my lot in with the apparent “runt” of NZ rugby and have been a pretty chuffed bastich ever since and hope Razor comes back again.

I have no doubt he will do well, but don't be too quick to ride the bandwagon, 1st he must prove his worth as All Black Coach. 2027 RWC should be his goal, he has already stated he want to do it with 2 teams (Media) I'm not sure what he means by that unless he feels his stay as All Blacks Coach will be long term.

Scott, you have been given the privilege of guiding the next generation of All Blacks. Your history is of an overachiever. A Crusader, an All Black, a winning coach of the worlds best club team. However, no man is an island. I hope you get the best of the best as support. I know NZ have the players to achieve another golden era.
It is up to you to be the conductor and orchestrate this disparate group into the worlds number one sporting team.
At times of personal despair remember millions, not just New Zealanders, are supporting you personally and the team collectively.

  • @MrZionforce
    @MrZionforce ปีที่แล้ว +4

Razor's glory goes before him through Jason Ryan whom has had a huge and obvious effect on the All Black performances is proof in the pudding that he will be undeniably successful with restoring and rewriting All Black legacy, history and glory. I knew straight away from when he helped the under 20s to the world championship title in 2015, that one day he will change the New Zealand Rugby landscape. Rugby Union will become more popular again throughout the schools and all the levels because of this one man. To be the first super rugby team to win an away final outside nz especially at the highest altitude Ellis Park against a fiery lions side very much told the story of what was to come in the following years. Then he does what would cause many to faint, he takes the Crusaders to Heaven as in 7/11 . Yes 7 titles as coach and 4 as a player which is 11 all up. The announcement of him before the world cup commencement is what has brought about some peace of mind. In fact it's actually part of the reason why the All Blacks have gotten off to a better start, because subliminally the Razor effect and his ascent to the highest job in the country is having an impact on the All Black's even before the start of his tenure.

When Razor won the NPC, I had my doubts about him, as a coach, then he won Super Rugby, and I still wondered, but he won again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again,AND AGAIN....wow. Humbling how he reinvents himself every year, and he richly deserves to be the first AB coach to be selected before the world cup. I still back Fozzie as the incumbent, he deserves our support, and I hope he wins the cup...for the crap he has had to put up with as much as anything, but he is massively under-rated. I now live in India.
In 1998, first semester, Lincoln University, I was resident as something called a 'student' making a right mockery of my existence at the time. Once could say I was a student writing a thesis on growlers and beef curtains washed down with disgusting ales and the like.
One lunch time in the student area as I was heaving down on my second favourite activity at 'uni' and that is known as lunch, which was a half of a freshly baked bread filled with all sorts from the farms of Canterbury....along comes Razor and sits down at our table!
Of course my mate and I knew him, me more then most as I was a huge Crusaders fan...I got chatting with him and this was his first season in Super rugby. Razor openly talked tactics with fans like me, and I recall very clearly, every sentence was filled with this name called 'Smithy'. Smithy is the man he told me.
Of course, Wayne Smith is my all time favourite AB's coach as well BUT it is unreal seeing Robertson has come such a long way breaking records as the coach of the Crusaders and now.
The only coach worthy of coaching the AB's after a four year farce.

The NZRU have been a shambles especially towards Foster but I thought appointing the new coach early was the correct move especially after Foster had already declared he didn’t want to be the coach after the RWC already.
The public and the media have largely calmed down and the whole replace Foster with Razor calls have largely disappeared because everyone now knows where everything stands. Foster can focus on the RWC without been harassed on the most part as there is no longer all these calls for Razor. The Foster vs Razor battle is now dead thanks to the early appointment after Foster made his intentions known earlier than that.
Let’s all get behind Foster and the ABs to do the job this year and back Razor next year putting all the Foster vs Razor behind us.
