    This markets rough. I got rid of my trailer and I'm power only with arcbest. Averaging 3.50/g, 8.7 mpg going about 67-70 on cruise, 18' freightliner. I make 1.55 + fsc and its keeping me alive. Total comp is like 2.07/m right now. 3,000 miles a week. Not bad for now.

    Good video, I just ran across your channel. I'm in the same boat, one truck operator.

      It’s tough times for sure right now & I keep hearing that it’s going to get worse but should pick back up after the middle of the year. Thank you for watching

    Thanks for sharing trying to compare which company to lease to Jb hunt , landstar or schneider.

      JB and Schneider are very similar but in my opinion JB is the better route. They have way more freight. Landstar is a completely different beast. There are pros and cons to all of them. JB & Schneider both have point & click load boards, which makes life a lot simpler. With landstar you have to be on the phone weeding through some of the BS to find decent loads. I hope my perspective helps. Thank you for watching

    Can you speak on how much you spend in fuel per week?

    • @deeztruckz2430
      @deeztruckz2430 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do the average math. If you average 7mpg on the low end and you run 3500 miles in the week,that's 500 gallons of fuel. That would be about $2500 give or take a few hundred, I used the average of $5 per gallon of diesel.

      My average fuel cost here lately has been running around $3.50/gallon with the Landstar discount. So if yo take the total miles(1439) and divide it by the average mpg(8.3), that’ll tell you how many gallons I burned approximately(173.4). Then you can take that and multiply it by my average cost per gallon and that’ll tell you how much I spent on fuel approximately(607) for the week. I don’t typically speak much on my expenses because I feel like everyone’s situation is different and they should know what it cost to run their own business. I’m just showing what the revenue potential is if you pull a dry van at Landstar. I have done a couple of videos in the past that show how to figure out what your expenses are and how to figure out what your cost per mile is. I hope this helps a little. Thank you for watching

      Look up the national average for fuel costs, also there are different averages for different parts of the country. Nobody should be paying pump price either, there are too many discounts available. In the last month fuel has went down and I'm spending around $3.50 per gallon average and around $1500 per week total on fuel, driving around 3000 miles per week. Averageing 7.5 mpg. (Plus $100 to $150 on DEF)

      It’s typically around $50k and 60k miles. I’m waiting for my CPA to crunch last year’s numbers because I usually do $200-225k gross revenue but last year I did like $257k. Thank you for watching

      You’ll have to wait to see about the Cali situation. As for my reasons for leaving Schneider, I have had my hazmat endorsement and wanted to be able to utilize it & their freight base didn’t work for me. Their not a bad company, just wasn’t a good fit for me. Thank you for watching

    You're not making enough to keep up with the maintenance on your truck all you're doing is Loading your truck up with miles for nothing..

    • @stretchingmileswithstretch7227
      @stretchingmileswithstretch7227  ปีที่แล้ว

      If I’m leasing the truck, why would I need to be concerned about the miles. It’s not my truck, it’s just a borrowed tool that accomplishes the job it’s designed to do.
