Nice! Yeah I think I need to get it out to a real riding place and get my helmet on before I make a decision. A 2 stroke 250 needs more space than I have given it yet. Plus I have been riding 4 strokes for the last several years and I just need to nut up and get used to it! Lol Ken Kaplan America still rips the CR 500 and he's 4 or 5 years older than I am! 😀🤟😎
Yeah its definitely fun! And definitely Could be dangerous! Unfortunately when I went out there to Doug's place, I forgot my helmet! Well technically I didn't forget it exactly...I just took the wrong truck! Lol I was going to drive my 1500, but last minute change and drove my 2500 and forgot to grab the helmet fro the other truck. Derp! 🙄
Do it! But I would not recommend a 2 stroke 250 for your first bike! Maybe an XR 200...great starter bike, but not a gutless wonder or anything, still plenty of fun usable power! Just easier to get used to. 👍
Really? I had not noticed that. I'll have to take a closer look. Its definitely a long way from original, but I thought it was just the paint being stripped off the frame and engine. And ofcourse the front fender is wrong. It was used in vintage racing and changed hands quite a bit, so I'm not surprised the sprocket would be changed. If the tank is wrong, I'm guessing the original got damaged at some point. But it is in good shape and doesn't leak so that's better that a carved in rusted out one. 👍 I'm currently working on the TM 100 and man is it bad! I have a tank on the way for it that will be close but not exact. Stay tuned for an update video for that one soon! 👍🙂
@@Areanorth40-vg21x as a matter a fact the only 2 tm bikes that took a big sprocket was the tm100 and tm125.i bet it's got the tm125 rim on the back check to see if it's a 428 sprocket for the chain the 250 took the 520
Oh I assumed you were talking a out the CR 250 before! You may be right about the rear wheel on the TM. It does look a little bit different than the front. Unfortunately both are so stuck right now, I have not had any luck getting them loose. And the engine is just as stuck! By the time I get this thing going it very well may be a Frankenbike! Lol But I will make sure to keep it all Suzuki and as period correct as possible! Plus I'm not a big time channel and don't have patrion so everything that goes into it, comes directly out of my wallet! Lol So it's going to take a little bit. But maybe I'll sell a dozen bicycles or so to fund the project! 👍😎
Love those older 2 storkes. I ride a 97 Rm 250 an I'm 45 keep it and restore it all the best😊

Yeah you might get hurt riding a 2 stroke now a days 😁

I burned my leg on the exhaust once they moved them along the side of the bike 😅
Well you're not supposed to ride in a mini skirt! 😜🤣🤣🤣

Not sure I'd have made that trade. Lol
It's got the wrong gas tank on it.plus it's got the wrong rear sprocket too to big
