Shadow K9 was good against a meta where fire types weren’t mons you were expecting to face. And many teams were corebroken by it. In this meta, fire is very much a threat you have to consider as being weak to incinerate damage is a huge problem anyway.
I had fun running whishcash with blizzard. I kept getting countered with dragons and grass so catching them with a no shield on a blizzard was so satisfying.
Interesting you mention walrein. Maybe, walrein/poliwrath/trevenant? Bring back this core from like 10 seasons ago lol. The core resists scald along with poli
Fire Pokemon are so cool but tough to use in this meta. I've been messing around with Whiscash / Double Fire and been having fun in the 2500's. Charizard and Skeledirge seem to work the best.
It does not make sense to have a fire fast move and 2 fire charged moves, you should have scorching sands or phychic as the second charged move, it would have more coverage at least
Skarm as a third ? Doesn't dominate against the counter users but deals with gligar and Trev as well, and has a good matchup against azu. What do you think Dan ? Edit: also for charm users😂
@@rory90FiVe thank you, I really need to learn my counts...can I ask you what would you recommend instead ? I'm running a whish-skarm-gligar but I have problems with talons and lanturns in the back. Thank you very much anyway. Have a good day 😊
@@justlorenzos I'm no pro but maybe Gligar instead would work. I'm using your team leading with Gligar and Lanturn instead of Whiscash, although I'm struggling with this meta (as are most people)
I've been gaining ELO with whimsicott lead because of all the mudboy leads. I've ran the back line a few ways but cres and lanturn are where I've ended up. It is working for now until the algorithm gods decide to smite me.
I’m so over the gl meta right now, which to be fair might just be because I’ve been really busy lately with no time. I’ve been running a terrible team of Shadow Dargonair, Shiftry, Shadow Sceptile just cuz it’s fun when it sometimes works. Lost almost 200 elo from it but I can’t bring myself to make something around the meta.
This meta is absolutely shifting drastically every single few hours. One minute it's ALL Talonflame leads with grass in the back with lanturn. Then straight into triple dragon & then on to the next thing. It's so rps theres not much point playing. Skill level is one thing but going from triple hard countering my opponent one game to being completely hard countered the next game is getting to be a bit much for sure.
I won many match ups with Poliwrath against Azu and yeah, that should never happen. Azu should be a huge wall for Poli but Counter being insane and Scald being broken are just too much together, not to mention the guaranteed Icy Wind debuff (and 4x effectives on many meta things)
best pokemon channel, so keep it up, and you wont be worrying about the 6 meetings too much longer
Dude, I felt you when you were describing the Azu vs Poli match up… that match up has no business being that close with shields up.
K9 is still solid imo but it mainly prefers to run Scorching Sands since the Ground coverage and debuff chance are too valuable
Did anyone else experience a lack of sound when swiping on the charged move bubbles yesterday? It was like that all day for me
I did too!
Every game for the last few days yeah

This is funny. I was thinking about how you use K9 and I’ve been running it in front with charjabug and poli in the back. It is just ok but fun

Thank you dan!
Ive seen some ppl post abt hitting legend with whiscash talonflame skeldirge, maybe k9 instead of one of those fires will work
I've used the shadow dnair, whiscash, registeel team and had a fair amount of success with it in the 2200 range.

That is such a cool team idea.
Azu double fire? I saw that couple days ago
I love how Hisui cup is mainly well known staples instead of actual Hisui pokemon. Youve got lickitung, empoleon, bastiodon, shadow machamp etc.
am yet if you think that way you will lose badly! they are other mons that can take all those mons down no problem! but not many players have them!

Shadow dragon air lead has been killing it for me
G stunfish you’ll have ice coverage as well
How about altaria instead of dragonair
Back at it with the first comment again love the vids man
Why don’t you use scorching sands with your ninetales

Skarmory isn't as good against Trevenant with shields as you think, unless you use air slash
@@rory90FiVe does it gen to 2 shadow balls in the 2 shield ?
@@justlorenzos 1st Sky Attack is 8 and Shadow Ball is 7 so Trev outpaces + neutral Shadow Claw chips a lot

Thanks

Jellicent loves this team
toxapex third for this team ? great answer for azo 😅 en resist fighting moves 🤷🏻♂️
I've almost climbed to veteran using K9tales on the lead. I guess it's pretty dead up in higher ELO
I think skarmory annoys me the most so I built a team to counter it with coverage. Trevenant has been everywhere.

Maybe not with all the mudboys and scald
I am playing Vigo, Dewgn, Venasrd am i am having a blast! man many mud boys but they get stack with Venasrd thats it! LOL
K9 is solid on the lead
Knine is fun in lower elos
Hey
Losing a game by CMP or CAP is soo trash 🚮
