- From Pariah to Messiah: Apostle Darlan Rukih Moses is an openly intersex Kenyan. In this conservative Christian country this is a rarity in itself; but he is also a renowned preacher and gospel star with hundreds of devoted followers.

“After I gave birth to him, when I saw him, I was shocked because it was something that I had never seen before”, says his mother. Born with both male and female genitals, Apostle is lucky to have survived childhood. “These children would be rejected by their families at birth, because they were viewed as a bad omen”, says traditional birth attendant Dolly Atieno. “They were killed, tortured and abandoned in granaries.” Adolescence was especially difficult, driving Apostle close to suicide. Eventually, his rising fame as a gospel singer led him to publicly proclaim his intersex state. Some leapt to stigmatism. “An intersex is something that needs to be prayed against”, says rival pastor Kennedy Odeny. “The Devil can interfere with God’s creation.” Fortunately, his congregation and family see him as a miracle rather than a freak. “We are happy, and I do not have any problems with his gender”, says his smiling wife. Despite calls to end discrimination against intersex people, being gay remains a crime in Kenya, and even Apostle believes homosexuality is a sin.

WOWWW this is an eye opener into the intersex world. Despite what Apostle Dallan has gone through in his early years, he finally chose acceptance of self, happiness and humanitarian cause as a way of life. And his mother's love and protection of an otherwise 'different looking' baby played a big part in who he has become. Thank you Mama, may God grant you longer healthy life to see your son blossom more to God's glory. Finally, I pray the Bill to legalise intersex people in Kenya succeed. The pastor who is talking against you is in the closet. Pastors like him have ruined the lives of young girls such as myself. The church ruined me. This is why my beloved parents left for the sake of my sanity. I will stick to my ancestors forever. Our ancestors hung bled died suffered for us and this is how our people act. Smh I love the skin that I am in. I love my ancestors I love my people I love Africa. But my prayers are for my people to have all the freedoms that we have in the states. I want my people to love each other.

This is a clear truth that indeed, we are not our bodies, but what is inside those bodies, Our souls...But were so stack to our human form and only get surprised who we really are, at the time of death, when we damp those bodies,...Let us all be kind and accept our different body forms..
I am really inspired of this video and it touches my heart what I been through from being rejected by my community as an outcast and seen as nothing but deserving to be a crazy, a beggar, a prostitute, an object of rape so that they should rape me in punishing me, a lowly person to be blamed everything that goes wrong, a person of no worth to becoming a famous person with the help of JESUS. If it was not God's grace and intervention, me as an intersex I would have been in streets as a crazy. My cruel indian Shia people including my uncle Mohamedreza Lalji did many cruel things to me. The world is silent and no prosecution is done against such powerful and rich people. Still they have spread lies and have done their best to ruin me everywhere even accusing me falsely that I am some opportunist and liar. The hurt they caused me and the mistreatment until I ended up in streets as a small child and instead of pitying me some of their people took me seeing me as helpless and innocent and then they raped me. I am just happy that in these days we live in this world there is some understanding towards us but my community are still threatening and luring people not to help me in any way. I am made jobless with no one to support me. They hated me when i wanted to be a preacher and they used to abuse me and mock at me but God used others to assist me who saw with their own their mistreatment towards me and were shocked. They were battling against God who created me this way. Until now I seek the philosopy of being born as such and why God created me in this way but I don't get it. Still God has his people like those who took care of me when I was a small child when in fear and anxiety I was living abused at home then was thrown out in streets so God used those Imams of the Manyema Mosque, Mzee Mandoza, Sheikh Khalfan and others to take care of me when I was in streets when even a classmate was pitying me could not take me to rescue me from the abuses I was going through at home and now joining with my community he is treating me as some beggar and as some orphan. Later i got others who helped study Islamic theology to be a Sheikh. Then as a Sheikh when I came back to Tanzania to defend other innocent people who are being abused sexually by my community to defend the cause of the oppressed and the weak as a persecuted, abused and mistreated intersex orphan and now a preacher, and was preaching the message of love and peace, my powerful community that hold the economy of Tanzania who were angry against me for the way I am born since childhood they decided to fight me threatening me with police, attempting to kill me, they beat me up themselves, then they were blocking me from jobs and whatever i do from my own work or if I fundraise for my preaching they either threaten, bribe or influence people not to help me as a preacher even telling people that the way I am born people will not get rewards from God for helping me and I cannot be a preacher the way I am born according to their Shia beliefs and that if I am helped some money as a preacher to buy food, clothes, perfumes and whatever I buy then I will always use it to lure men with it to have sex with me and today they insulted me until my friends and people who used to donate me as a preacher respecting me as a Shaykh are shocked that they are deceiveing the world that I used to be some homosexual prostitute who their people were sleeping with me and paying me money so that they should get FALSE MONEY and FALSE PROMOTION to make themselves more richer by acting to be active gays by sleeping with me while they are homophobic and I was never a prostitute but I was a respected preacher getting money through my knowledge, and they were homophobic and they wanted to rape me to punish me for the way I am born and they had wished to ruin my life to have become a prostitute because they saw that as an intersex I am like a gay and I am nothing and I cannot have a respected life or be anything in life so I am cursed the way i am born so I should just be a commodity for them so that they sell me and make money out of me while they see me as an intersex I should not get any opportunities to study or work. These days finally they are calling me crazy and that they are used to my long messages and blames but their lies which are contradictory and conflicting that I am some Arab prostitute while they give money to the Tanzanian Government whom they fund to believe their lies who ride around cars and threaten me who act that they are still investigating me, such lies are short and not like my long messages filled with truth and they are of no blame but in Tanzania the Government is protecting them as they fund them in political parties and football teams and they can never sue them for what they did to me and to my mother and they never prosecute them for what they do to other people but I am told that I am wasting my time to seek justice but the Government itself is giving them protection when they take little children to rape them and the police fear them and beg them money and in return the Government is punishing me by switching off electricity, chasing me out from places where I stay, cutting off voucher and in several ways brining me mafia gangsters to insult me, to spit on my food and to twist my truth because this community of mine is very dangerous and they are not a people to play with and here in Tanzania they are above the law and they can do whatever they want and if anyone sues them or seeks to sue them will be suing himself and this they do not want the world to know. I thank those students in Zambia from Zimbabwe and Togo to clarify more about my situation because it cannot be that for 7 years investigations are done and when the truth is known my community are left free but still they are trying to frame me anything false even now to have me killed or arrested as I do not have any crime that I did and my only crime is my gender and my moderate beliefs. The United Nations alone can intervene even in my situation where I am not getting any assistance or help

I don't believe he menstruated . He clearly have xy chromosomes ( you can tell from the body structure and height , in the y chromosome there are the genes for the higher height of men ) , he probably has internal testicles . Impossible for him to menstruate .
