We've been thinking of going to the gym SO MUCH, but we decided to start with a spaghetti squash casserole first... We love squash so much we've even got a squash playlist, which is something I never thought I'd say when I was a little kid th-cam.com/play/PLWQmw8wY3TOdMIPGJ-UHDI17eugcfaAHo.html
for sure--no end to the possibilities! I think we use more zucchini zoodles and spaghetti squash than we do real pasta anymore...although I do have a hankering for a traditional pasta dish every now and then
Love this! Truly beautimous chef Buck 😊 Must use cheese and I might even add some fancy turkey bacon. Love how you cut the squash, I always cut the long way 💕
thanks!--we used to cut the spaghetti squash long ways, too, but I think it's easier this way (although generally not as easy as it looked in the video...our squash was pretty old) and cutting through the center definitely makes for potentially longer squash strands.
Loved this healthy recipe. I have never had spaghetti squash but will try this. My gym just opened but haven’t started back my beloved Zumba classes which is the only reason I went to the gym. I guess I’ll just have to try your squash playlist instead. AND I don’t even have to wear a mask when I cook. Double win!
This has to be one of the best spaghetti recipes I have seen!! Love the great tips, and humor as usual. Thanks for sharing this recipe with us, Chef Buck :) Take care and stay safe!! Have a great weekend :D
@@ChefBuckRecipes Glad to hear that you are doing well!! We need to stay alert as the cases rise but for TH-camrs such as yourself, the show must go on ;)
Just cooked one this week. Only the second one I’ve ever cooked. When my kids were small they wouldn’t eat it but this time everyone loved it. Baked it with olive oil spritzed on, with just salt & pepper which caramelizad it a bit. Added Parmesan afterwards. I will definitely try your recipe next time. We all love garlic! Thanks so much for your recipe videos!
Heck yes! After letting go of some pasta carbs and replacing with spaghetti squash... little did we know that our 11 year old would looooove spaghetti squash (with my homemade red sauce.. wink wink). I can't wait to add this to our recipes! Thank you Chef Buck & Camera Girl :) We appreciate you!!
it really is amazing the the number of recipes where you can work this squash in and it's still delicious...I even make a version of Pad Thai with spaghetti squash that I'm happy with
Good morning Chef Buck, this is a recipe I will try this morning! I have never had a spaghetti squash, I know what rock have I been under! Lol Have a great day!
good morning!--hope you like it. We love spaghetti squash...it's one of those ingredients that has such a mild flavor that it can be used in many different types of dishes
Made it today and it was perfect! Even though the squash was on the small size and dissppointingly refused to twist into spaghetti, I followed the recipe and it was delizioso! Thank you, Chef Buck!
thanks...I like them--although I seem to go through glasses faster and faster lately--and not 'cause I'm losing or breaking them, it's just that my eyes are maturing faster than the rest of my head :^)
I absolutely adore this recipe! I have started eating vegan-ish. But even tho I cant consider this "vegan" because it is cooked, it is such a CLEAN healthy dish! I will be putting this down as a dinner and I am SO excited to try it! Thank you for sharing, keep em coming! Blessings, LA 🧡
CG likes to slice butter into the dish when she bakes it for added fat, but I find that the olive oil works better for me, and definitely keeps it in the vegan ballpark
we use spaghetti squash and zucchini zoodles as substitutes in some of our favorite traditional pasta dishes; while they can mimic the appearance to some degree, they definitely don't have pasta-like textures, but they do make tasty twists on old recipes
Yumm. Would also like it with green chiles coming in Monterey jack cheese. This is inspired me to use spaghetti squash a whole different way. Thanks for sharing this great content
Ohhhhh....THAT’S what spaghetti squash looks like when it’s cooked right! Gotcha. Lol...I must have been cooking it too long. Looks yummy! Thanks Chef Buck and CameraGirl!
I've definitely over cooked spaghetti squash myself, especially since I often bake it and then cook it a little more depending on the recipe...I find that 30-35 minutes in the oven at 350 will cook the squash enough that I can get the strands out easily...it's sorta slightly under cooked then, depending on your preference, but it leaves room for cooking a bit more with other ingredients before the squash gets mushy
this is one of our go-to veggies from the produce department...spaghetti squash usually doesn't sit on our kitchen counter for 2 weeks before we use it, but it's a big plus buying vegetables that give me wiggle room when it comes to using them up
@@ChefBuckRecipes I wasn't ever crazy about it. My Dad grew it and used to give it to me. Never really thought about it but he grew zucchini so big you could have started your own baseball team. Now, I realize he did the same thing with spaghetti squash. I will revisit.
Thanks Chef Buck for sharinG another inspiring video!!! Your haircut iS very flattering on you!!! Happi Summer to you and Camera girl...who works so hard to make all your videos Rock!✌😇🌎🌻😍🌻🐕🐈🐕🐞🦋🌹🦜🍻
3 months of lock down is what my hair needed! ...I just got some hair clippers in the mail, though, so it's all downhill from here...hope you have a great summer, and thanks a lot for watching our videos :^)
you can slice spaghetti squash lengthwise as well and still get pasta like strands, but right through the fat center will allow for the longest strands...it definitely doesn't have the texture of pasta, but I've made some very pasta-like dishes with spaghetti squash
I'm a vegetarian and I've always wanted to tried baked spaghetti squash. Your video was very helpful and you answer all the questions without being asked. Thanks for great video. Love your channel💗. Are you going to share your recipe for other half squash?
thanks for checking some of our recipes out...spaghetti squash is definitely a gift in versatility for folks on vegetarian or vegan diets...we've got a squash playlist with other spaghetti squash recipes th-cam.com/play/PLWQmw8wY3TOdMIPGJ-UHDI17eugcfaAHo.html
it's something simple top do with only half a squash...since CG and I generally cook for just the two of us, we can usually make two completely different dishes with 1 spaghetti squash
Having a blast watching you ... Lol dinky do...😳😂😂😂 None the less enjoy you so much subscribed... I love spaghetti squash I stuff mine with venison sausage an wild mushrooms.. Bake it off then pour a simple homemade cherry tomatoes roasted with s&p, olive oil an freshly chopped tarragon....😘....
We just put it in the fridge in a plastic tub and use it later in the week for another dish. Since it's already been baked for 30-35 minutes at 350 F, it's pretty much ready to eat, but definitely not overdone and can be cooked a little longer before getting too mushy. One of my quick and favorite things to do with leftover spaghetti squash it to toss it in a skillet with a little butter and oil and a lot of finely chopped garlic and parsley.
after the first bake the squash is just barely done, so there's plenty of room to cook it a bit more in another dish, but the squash definitely isn't as tasty if it's overcooked...it gets mushy and loses a lot of the texture that makes the squash such a nice ingredient

Love spaghetti squash so much, we use is instead of pasta all the time, much better than gym 😊
yep...I think we use spaghetti squash and zucchini zoodles more than regular pasta nowadays.
I love the gym and spaghetti squash, but I don't cook the spaghetti squash.
Do you have any zoodle recipes? I have a yeast allergy ,and I can't tell you how awful chickpea pasta tastes.
Wow, and that's a dinky do squash.
The pastoral hills of squash - yum. CB you’re a treasure.
I was slightly stumped there for a moment :^)
